The hotel driver drove us everywhere we needed, i.e. to the mountain, took us from the airport. The facilities are actually "retro", but the better part of the couple considers this as a plus. Onsen was great. There were no people when we visited, so we could enjoy ourselves to the fullest. There was a bit cold at the hotel but the rooms are equipped with portable heaters.
It is sad that we could not order a room w/o meal plan, which included two meals per day. Meals were rich in taste and diversity, but there was nothing we could choose, meaning the menu was decided by the restaurant (though it was different each time). Not all foods we would like try for a second time. The heaters strongly smell like gasoline when operating.
