Needed a quiet, spacious and comfortable house to get away from the 4th of July madness which goes on for 5 days and all not long where we life. Our dog can not handle the stress of it all. The house was located in a beautiful secluded development and with the exception of 45 minutes of fireworks on 4th of July it was quiet as can be. The dog had room on the deck to move around. I would recommend keeping your dogs on a leash when walking around, lots of beautiful wildlife in the area that may not appreciate your dog.The kitchen was well stocked with everything you possibly need. The appliance are all quite new and in great condition. There is a huge dining room table for your family and guests. The property is wooded and private with a very comfortable back deck. The hosts, Cliff and Lisa were charming and helpful and addressed our questions and concerns very quickly. I highly recommend this property.

We had a hiccup upon arrival when the home hadn’t been cleaned since the previous guests left. That lead to a change in our evening plans and also cleaning that we did to get our food into the fridge and freezer after a 10 hour drive. The host did send a cleaning crew that evening but everything wasn’t done and we were shorted bathroom and kitchen towels. We reserved for 8 guests and there weren’t enough to cover that. No laundry soap to be able to wash towels. I purchased supplies to make it work for our stay. There are some minor upkeep items to be fixed (towel bar, door lock handles and the drive is pretty washed out and a rough entrance to the property. The garage has a strong mildew smell. Given I paid a cleaning fee I think it was reasonable to ask for compensation for the inconvenience we experienced with the home not clean upon arrival. However they only suggested a discount on a future stay. That’s not the level of customer service that is acceptable for me. The issue happened now and should be remedied now. The property is up for sale so who knows if we’d even be able to stay again in the future. It’s a shame because it is a nice home.

The house was spacious and well furnished. The location was close to Fall Creek Falls. We wished the pool was open, but other than that, we had a great stay.

Let me start by saying, our trip was wonderful! We visited many state parks, Cumberland Cavern and enjoyed the Canopy Challenge at Fall Creek Falls State Park. The cabin was wonderful inside, extremely nice appliances and very spacious. The photos outside are dated, currently the entire front porch needs a paint job. Lisa, the owner was very attentive and quick to respond which was lovely. However, the amenities listed in the paperwork I received were very inaccurate and need updated, so beware. There is a general store and cafe on the property (which we counted on for lunches) but it was only open on Friday from 11 to 2 the entire week we were there. The beautiful pool was closed the entire week due to needed repairs, which I didn't find out until my last payment was made. The paperwork mentions that you can rent Bass fishing equipment to use in the 2 lakes on the property, but that also was not available. Also, the lakes and docks on the property are wonderful, but bring rafts, canoes or kayaks because there is no place to rent them. The grill is charcoal, so bring supplies if you plan on using it. Paperwork states a gas grill. Due to the distance to restaurants or major grocery stores (Walmart was 30 minutes), we cooked in each day. So, take ALL supplies needed, for example cutting board, plastic pitcher for drinks, storage containers for leftovers, aluminum foil, baggies, etc. Loved the fire pit, but no chairs, so bring your own. Overall, loved the cabin and area!
