8 / 10Excellent·Oct 2026
The iconic nature of the property and its history. Also the guided tour of the 'Beatles' basement with Roag - who was very engaging with lots of annecdotes about the history and characters around The Beatles' involvement at the Casbah venue. Fabulous for a long-time Beatle fan :)
Overall our experience was very good. Just a positive observation re. the bedroom though (we had the John Lennon suite). There were no bedside tables or lamps either side of the bed - so nowhere to put alarm clock or phones, etc - and you couldn't get subdued lighting before switching out for the night - and had to get out of bed to reach the light switch to turn it off - and meander back to the bed in darkness. Also, no terrestrial TV channels were available to watch news etc - only Netflix was accessible. But overall we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The history of this property is phenomenal. It was nice to have a an en-suite room with a dining area and some kitchen facilities, allowing us to self cater.
Our friends would have liked a bathroom heater as it was a bit chilly (October).
