Sea View Beach House near Athens Airport

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is in a quiet location, with the sea just in front of it. You can see the sea from the entrance and the terrace. We especially liked having two terraces on different sides of the house. Depending on the weather, you can choose sun, shade or a more sheltered spot. There is private parking right by the entrance, which was very convenient with our rental car. The house is not brand new, and the kitchen in particular is a little old-fashioned, but everything was clean and comfortable. We actually liked the character it gave the place. The bed linen and towels were very clean, beach towels were provided, and all the windows had mosquito screens. The kitchen had everything we needed for a short stay, including a Nespresso machine with capsules, tea, sugar, olive oil, rusks, pasta and water in the fridge. The bathroom also had plenty of useful things such as shampoo, shower gel, cotton pads, disposable razors, hair ties and even mosquito bite treatment. Our host Georgios was very kind and helpful. He explained everything about the check-in, gave us useful information about the area and recommended several restaurants and tavernas. He was always available if we needed anything. The house is very close to Athens airport, so planes can be heard, but for us this was a reasonable trade-off for the convenience. It was great not to have a long drive after arriving or worry about getting to the airport on time on departure day. There is no large organised beach with sunbeds and beach bars directly in front of the house. Instead, there are several small, quiet spots by the sea used mostly by locals. We preferred this much more than crowded beaches with music. There is also a large shopping area in Spata, including Designer Outlet Athens and Smart Park, which was very convenient for us as both are open on Sundays during the summer season from May till October. We were able to buy groceries and ready-made food shortly after arrival.

The placement is right next to the water. The apartment is clean, fresh and with amazing view! The owner, George, was extremely welcoming! Giving contacts of local taxi and recommendations of nice local places where we could eat🥘

Nothing. Everything was high level quality!

The location is good!

The owner is very rude and so his son. It started with zero communication after booking the apartment and continued through the whole trip. Since he had “problems” with his WhatsApp (it worked miraculously only whenever he wanted to send a message), he didn’t got our messages… Ended up with him screaming at us! The kitchen wasn’t equipped! No pots no frying pan, no cutting knives, no bread knife and so on… No microwave (his son came by and smirkingly said that the electric oven is “microwave” enough). We had to buy a cutting knife, pan and some other stuff. The worst thing in that kitchen wasn’t the counter top. It wasn’t dirty, it was horribly sticky. There was nothing you could put on it without trying to pull or peel it off. The bedroom is nice but the mattress is much bigger than the bed. Don’t seat on its end, you’ll end up on the floor. The bathroom is tiny. Don’t bend your head when you’re brushing your teeth because you’ll hit the mirror afterwards.
