Salty

I chose Salty as my resting spot and "home base" during a multi-country trip through the Mediterranean and Middle East.The days I spent here were pretty good. - Very clean, especially in the bathroom. Well-equipped and fully stocked kitchen. Great for cooking. - Plenty of closet space in the bedroom for my clothes and a laundry machine outside. - Large windows with great lighting. The shades were opaque and kept out sunlight for good rest. - If you like cats, the strays are very friendly but the young ones can be a bit sneaky and will try to get inside. - Quick walk to the beach.

- Communication with the remote host Alexandra was unpleasant. My early issues with the wifi and water heater were met with doubt and deflection after her initial recommendations did not work. However Nikos, the on-site host, fixed the wifi the next day. He also reset the water heater and increased the temperature with some prodding. - It's a basement unit below the main villa, so don't forget your earplugs! If there are people in the main house, you will hear everything. Sometimes the cats will fight outside and it can be a bit loud. Otherwise, the unit is well insulated from the street noise on the main road. - The unit would benefit from a dehumidifier. I had to be strategic with ventilation and still had some issues with pain chipping. - Minor issues with dust accumulation in the bedroom despite overall cleanliness.
