Beautiful, comfortable, incredible view.

We loved il Lunario. While small, we knew we wouldn’t spend much time there and the terrace view made it an ideal accommodation for us. Luana was a lovely host and very special person. She met us at the train station to guide us to the apartment and help with luggage up the stairs. The bed was comfortable and the parent had everything we needed. In the evenings before dinner, we watched a bit of tv and sat on the terrace to bask in the sunset. What more could we want?! Perfect.

There was nothing we didn’t like. As with everything in Riomaggiore, there are stairs and if you’re not able to carry luggage up/ down, hire a porter to assist you.

Great host, great stay, great experience.

The hosts were amazing. Natale picked me up at the train station and walked me to my stay. He recommended a nearby beach where the locals go, restaurants and places to see in Riomaggiore. The room itself was very nice, and close to the center of the town which was very convenient. Overall he’s a very chill dude and I enjoyed my stay, wish I would’ve stayed longer.

Excellent place, great location and views, and very economical! The staff was extremely friendly.

It was very peaceful and quiet with a view of the ocean! Very clean and just a few stairs to the marina and the amazing views. Luana met me at the train station and showed me to my room. There was also a free bottle of local white wine provided! I would definitely stay here again. I was traveling solo so stayed in a room with one bed but I believe they have a room with two beds available as well. I like staying in these smaller places to help support the local economy.

The only thing I did not like was there was no rack to set my suitcase on.

A beautiful, well-equipped stay with stunning views, perfect location, and wonderfully kind hosts.

The place was exactly as described and even better than the pictures. It’s a great size for two people, with a cute little kitchen, a good coffee machine, and lovely attention to detail that made it feel homely. The balcony has exceptional views and a cover, which was a bonus on both very sunny days and when it rained. We felt secure and private the whole time, and the location couldn’t have been more perfect. The hosts were incredibly kind, they met us at the train station, helped with our luggage, shared local tips, and were excellent with communication throughout. We would highly recommend this place and would happily book again.

Wonderful experience with nice sea view

Cozy room for solo traveler with all necessary comfort for short term stay. Perfect side sea view from the window. Room is perfectly located: few min from both - harbour and main city street, but be prepared to go very upstairs, might be not convenient to travel with big suitcase (which is so typical for all cinque terre cities). Host Natale is extremely kind and supportive, provided nice tips and tricks for better experience in the city and allowed to check out 2 hrs later.

BOOK THIS PLACE. We will be back!

Everything about the place was exceptional. The Host Luana was BEYOND accommodating and considerate to our needs. The Location is outstanding, its directly above the water so it is a short climb with stair to an amazing restaurant directly below which sits right in front of the Marina. The terrace was the star of the show and the reason we booked this place. Not only was Sunset absolutely magical from this place but the stargazing at night was so magical. You could see the Milky Way since you sit above all the light pollution. If you are considering this place let this be your sign YES YOU SHOULD BOOK HERE. We will absolutely be back.

Not that we didn't like it because we knew what we signed up for but its important to note because this property is located higher up there is quite a bit of stairs. BUT the location made those stairs totally worth it!

Wish I could have stayed here longer

Room Was gorgeous. 1 mins walk to the marina /beach. 5 mins from train - easy to visit other towns Hosts met me and helped with my case. Showed me some restaurants and what I need for the trek. Facilities great / clean - warm water. Fresh towels. Fridge stocked with treats and water. Great for a solo traveller. Room very secure and safe. No noise either.

Perfect location and amazing host

I arrived in Rio Maggiore in the afternoon, so I was able to use the local car park. It cost €33 to park for 24 hrs, which I thought was a bit pricey, but parking in Italy was expensive from my experience. Luana messaged me before my arrival to give me updates on things I need to know before arriving in Rio Maggiore. I thought this was really helpful, and she gave me information on where I needed to park in Rio Maggiore. Luana met me at the carpark and showed me to the property and explained all the amenities that are nearby. The room was perfect for me as a solo traveller. It was clean, and the bed was comfortable. I like that It was near the beach, restaurants, hiking trail and the train station. I wished I was staying longer. Luana was so gracious to allow me to check out later, without any extra charges. I think this was because there was no other booking, I was so grateful. Thank you so much Luana you were a great host.

Everything was wonderful

We spent the last few days at this accommodation, and it was absolutely wonderful! The hosts were incredibly kind — some of the friendliest we’ve ever met. They picked us up from the train station, carried our luggage, showed us the best spots, and gave us so many insider tips. They kept checking in to make sure everything was perfect and even welcomed us with a bottle of wine. The room was clean, beautifully maintained, and the view from the terrace was simply breathtaking. We would love to come back here anytime!

Incredible Views !

Luana the host was fantastic. She met us at the train station at Riomaggiore and took us to our room. On the way she showed us all the recommended places to eat and the best way to get around the tight little streets. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy, and the view from the terrace was incredible and will be something we will remember forever ! Thank you !

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Natale’s place in Cinque Terre! He rents out two rooms – be sure to book the upper one: the private rooftop terrace with a view over the picturesque village truly makes the stay special. Natale is incredibly attentive and does everything he can to make your visit as pleasant as possible. Highly recommended!

Perfect!

The hosts were amazing. They oriented me everything and it made such a positive difference for my stay! I didn't have to waste time orienting myself. They were kind enough to wait on me, even when my train was delayed. The room was great and I was able to open my window and hear(and see) the sea. Location is excellent. Slept well. Zero complaints. Would recommend.

Huoneisto on pienehkö, mutta se ei haitannut meitä. Lepotuolit parvekkeella olisivat mukava lisä, sillä parveke on kyllin tilava ja suunta sopiva myös auringonottoa ajatellen.

Gekomen als gast, vertrokken als vriend. Volledig in de watten gelegd door Luana!

Luana en Natale, maar natuurlijk ook het uitzicht en de locatie in het algemeen. De eigenaren zijn werkelijk geweldig! Ze kwamen me halen op het station, tilden m’n spullen over trapjes en door supersmalle steegjes. Er stond een heerlijke fles wijn (en water) voor me klaar en er is constant hulp aangeboden. Ook bij vertrek heb ik mijn bagage niet hoeven sjouwen en het afscheid was heel warm. Wat een uitzonderlijk fijne mensen en een prachtig stel 😍

Ja het was klein, maar dat wist ik van te voren. Ondanks dat heb ik een groots verblijf gehad!!!
