Twinbeach Sanctuary

We accidentally booked Twinbeach Sanctuary thinking it was in Mersing town, turns out it's on Pulau Sibu! I panicked at first, but the team were absolutely wonderful. They guided us every step of the way: the jetty, the boat transfer, everything. For a last-minute booking, the coordination was seamless and stress-free. We were a group of four, my parents in one chalet, me and my sister in another. The chalets were comfortable and well-kept. What made it extra special was that we visited on the second day of Raya, so we practically had the whole sanctuary to ourselves. The sanctuary itself is beautiful. There are two beaches, one facing the sunset and one facing the sunrise, each with a completely different mood. We also spotted some resident animals: cows, wild boars, and friendly cats wandering around, which added to the charm. Activities-wise, we did snorkelling, kayaking, e-biking, and even went cari kerang (shellfish foraging) along the shore. We fished at night at the jetty and spotted a sea turtle, an absolute highlight! Food was included and well-prepared. In the evening, there were fireworks from the nearby kampung and the locals were so warm and welcoming. It really felt like celebrating Raya in the most unexpected, magical way. Highly recommend, especially if you want a peaceful island escape with loads of activities and genuinely lovely staff.

Our only regret is not staying longer, one night was not enough.
