This was a wonderful find for us. We were suspicious at first because it only had a few reviews yet was highly rated. We also clicked on the map location and it pointed us to a house on the outskirts of Medias. But please rest assured. It does exist and it is lovely. The location is actually on the out skirts - past Hotel Mecure Binderbui - keep the hotel on your right and keep going until the road ends and down the unmade path until you arrive at huge ornate gates. Then phone the host Achim and he opens them for you. In fact best keep messaging the property to let them know of your arrival. Once through the gates you enter this amazing tranquil oasis. We think this is a new venture and from what we understood is linked with the church. They have - which is quote common in Romania from what we have learnt on our travels there- bought old traditional homes and re built them in a rural setting of their own design around a lake. We stayed in the Windmill. This was lovely, we chose to sleep on the first floor and stared up at the old mill mechanism and listened to the crickets. Further down the track there is a large communal barn and kitchen area where you can cook- including outside BBQs. As this property is recently online and I assume that when setting up a place on Booking .com you will have to conform to their templates- but this property can't do that. So yes you have a kitchen and BBQ- but it is not inside the windmill. This place is perfect if you want quiet picturesque setting where you can sit and watch and listen to nature. Down the road you have Medias - which is an attractive town. I wish now we had stayed longer and booked breakfast with them. I bet you that is amazing.

There is nothing we did not like. I am thinking if I were reading this review before I went what would I want to know. The hosts are delightful, and I think as this is relatively newly listed learning the ropes. So the photos that show the one bed place that we booked were half from our property and half from another one. The windmill that could sleep 4- 2 down, 2 in singles up one floor, had a fridge and the making facilities and a massive bathroom with shower. If you wish to cook your food, carry it down the path where you will find fantastic facilities. I wish I had spoken Romanian and phoned prior to learn what you can do there. Oh- you must like dogs. We do - so no problem. So you will see and hear them from time to time. They are friendly and working dogs on the farm.

Am petrecut o noapte relaxantă la Domeniul Trei Stejari, într-un cadru pitoresc, în mijlocul naturii. Atmosfera este calmă și liniștitoare, perfectă pentru a evada din agitația cotidiană. Ne-am bucurat de liniștea pădurii și de aerul curat. Un loc frumos, ideal pentru odihnă și reconectare cu natura. 🌳🌿
