About this house rental
Situated on its own peninsula in the majestic Whangaroa harbour surrounded by its emerald waters, sits Waitai Lodge. The Lodge is only accessible by boat. It boasts a main cabin 60m2 with a kitchen, modern appliances, dining table, TV with Sky and a double bed. On site are three independent chalets with double beds, each having their own balconies.
A wood burning spa is available for use on those colder nights. Fishing rods and tackle are supplied, where you can catch your dinner from the floating pontoon. A two man a canoe is available to explore the harbour. There is a mooring available if you’re arriving in your own boat.
The lodge is available for up to a maximum of 8 people. All bedding is supplied. Just bring your own food and beverages. There is a BBQ on the deck for outdoor dining.
Transport to and from the lodge is available through Whangaroa Water Taxis. Phone 0276085588, or email: [email protected] to enquire and book your transport. This is a separate cost to the accommodation and arranged directly with them.

We had a great time at this amazing location. Thanks to Ivan for meeting us on arrival and showing us around. He even had the hot tub warmed up which was well used!100% would recommend.

Patrick was an absolutely wonderful host and the arrival process was smooth and easy!
It was the most stunning location with a lot of space for the seven of us that stayed.
Unfortunately it rained most of our stay so we are hoping to stay again to get to spend some time outside on the property.
One thing to note is that the property is completely off-grid. We loved this aspect but definitely worth knowing that there is just one composting toilet and one shower when you have a big group!
The central part of the house was fantastic and was where we spent most of our time playing board games while it rained. Fantastic cooking facilities and more than enough space to all relax inside.
As I said above, we will definitely look to book another stay, thank you Patrick!!

Great kiwi batch, Stunning harbor. Views amazing.
One of the prettiest places we have visited, if you have a boat to explore the harbor you will have a blast.
Would love to visit again.
