About this house rental
The Bunkhouse is one of 4 vacation rentals on a 60 acre property of rolling hills on the edge of the Texas Hill Country. The house sits on top of one of the highest hills in the area so from there you have fantastic views of the countryside. Just outside the yard fence cows are grazing. Come sit on the porch swing and enjoy the fresh air and ever-present breezes. Surrounding the house are ancient live oaks which have lived there since before the German immigrants who settled the area arrived in the mid 1800's. And even though you are in the quiet of the country it is only a few minutes to the towns of New Braunfels, Seguin or San Marcos. All three offer visitors a variety of attractions plus many restaurants, shops and recreational opportunities. And in just about 30 to 45 minutes you can drive to San Antonio or Austin and enjoy all that those cities have to offer.
The house has 2 bedrooms each with a queen bed plus there is a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room. The kitchen and living/dining areas provide a nice open space to gather. There is a separate utility room with washer and dryer. On the wrap-around porch are picnic tables, chairs and a porch swing. A charcoal grill is provided. A small fenced yard is a good place for your pets or children to play. But you can also enjoy the ample space outside the yard fence!

Fantastic hosts - Joy and Sherman are two of the nicest and most accommodating on the planet. I loved everything about this place and so especially did my two Dalmatians, who were enchanted by the cows.If you are looking for a beautiful setting in a rural area that is quiet and serene, and love the idea of waking up to a beautiful sunrise, sitting outside on the porch with your coffee and watching your dogs play in the yard, this place is the one to pick in the San Antonio area!Thank you Joy and Sherman!

Perfect location for events in Seguin while enjoying quiet country setting. Beautiful views from hilltop bunkhouse. Very reimanance of Texas's old ranch house with up close view of family angus herd.

Country Living with everything you need or want less than 20 minutes away. A newborn calf arrived during our stay. We enjoyed meeting Joy and hearing about her family's farm.

My wife and I are country folks so this was right up our alley. We enjoyed the quiet, rustic style bunkhouse. Our dogs had lots of room to run. The tv is small but we don't really watch TV. The location is great. The only issue was that the mattress made for a bit of a stiff back in the morning. We'll most likely be return customers.
