Welcome to Boxwood House a completely furnished vacation/corporate garden apartment located on the first floor of a gracious 1893 Victorian home with its own separate entrance.
Boxwood House offers such amenities as a full kitchen, with all electric appliances, including a dishwasher, full size refrigerator, china, silverware, and glassware.
The Bedroom has a queen size bed dressed in Italian linens for a comfortable nights sleep. Plenty of closet space, a dresser, and a writing desk with wireless service for your laptop.
The bathroom shower features a Speakman shower head. There are plenty of thick white towels.
The Living/Dining Room is very comfortable with a sofa that makes into a double bed. The antique dining table and chairs seat four. AM/FM radio with CD player and cable LCD TV with VCR that gets up to 88 channels.
There is a back garden available during nice weather to sit and read or enjoy a glass of wine.
Conveniently located on the island of Alameda, in San Francisco Bay. Boxwood House is situated in the historic Gold Coast a few blocks from parks, beaches with beautiful views of San Francisco, windsurfing, tennis, sailing, bike riding, coffee houses, and restaurants. This was our third stay in this charming and comfortable place in Alameda. It is in a quiet neighborhood that is near the beach and parks. The shopping and restaurant area along Webster Street is an easy 15 minute walk away. Marti, the host, is very responsive and helpful. We're already looking forward to another visit.

Loved my stay at this adorable Victorian. Clean, comfy and secure. Great location in the Gold Coast area on Alameda. Loved Marti, the proprietor. Thanks for such a fun stay.

Non existent communication with the Host Marti McCune. Before arrival I texted her for address to this VRBO as I had not received info after booking weeks in advance. She never responded. My husband searched the listing map and found the approximate address and we drove up down streets til we recognized place from photo. There were w handmade political signs on sidewalk in front of house and we hoped unit still rented to us. No one in main house, no signs, markers etc to identify location apartment so we walked thru open side gate to see another open gate to backyard area? and a side door which was agape and found keys on kitchen counter. This was our unit as it matched listing photos.Never heard from or saw anyone entire 4 nights we were there or after until today, 4 days after departure. Bring your own coffee, tea, sugar/cream etc as none provided. Bring your own bottled water too if used and soap, as only one tiny sliver of packaged soap provided.
