About this cottage rental
The holiday home is located in the countryside on a family estate. It is on the banks of the Canal du Midi. This holiday home is the only one in a farmhouse within a stable of owners of around thirty sport horses.
It is equipped with air conditioning in the living room of 35m2.
You benefit from a free Wi-Fi connection.
The living room has a flat screen TV with a large sofa and armchair. The dining area opens onto a fully equipped kitchen. Electric hotplates, large built-in oven, microwave, dishwasher, ventilated fridge-freezer.
Upstairs two bedrooms, one with a large 160 bed and the other 2 single beds.
The bathroom with large shower and sink is equipped with a washing machine.
Outside a private terrace and two parking spaces are reserved for you.
5 minutes from the domain, in Bram, a beautiful wooded lake with nautical ski lift will allow you to spend a pleasant moment with your feet in the water in the middle of the Cathar lands.
Located 15km west of Carcassonne, you can enjoy beautiful walks in its medieval city and browse the surroundings rich in tourist places: Cathar castles, abbeys, caves, chasms ..... but also the very beautiful landscapes and lakes of the Black Mountain.
You will of course be ideally situated for visiting the surrounding countryside at a leisurely pace with the carriage of the Calèches d'Oc with the Comtoises Vanille and Océane.
Please note: in high season, arrival and departure are compulsory on Saturdays.
Sheets and towels provided free of charge. Beds made on arrival.
Upon arrival, a deposit check of € 600 will be required. Uncashed, it will be returned to you on your departure if no damage is noted.
A deposit of 600 € will be sent to you from your arrival in the lodging.

The gite was clean and bright and really welcoming. It was quite difficult to find but we managed it in the end as Monique (the owner) collected us from a nearby supermarket! It was spacious and good quality furnishings. We found the sofa rather uncomfortable, but fortunately, the bed was comfortable. We were welcomed daily by the very friendly dog, Caramel and 6 chickens plus a noisy rooster. Our main difficulty was that Monique didn’t speak English and we don’t speak French! However, it was our choice and we did manage ok.We can highly recommend the property and there are lots of interesting places to visit that are not too far away.It was a pleasure driving round the wonderful countryside on decent roads with little traffic. So unlike the UK,

We chose this accommodation due to it's proximity to Carcassonne and the canal du midi.
It's a beautiful area which we enjoyed discovering with our family.
Monique and her family were friendly and helpful with everything at the gite and Monique was available when needed but always respected our privacy. My children loved the horses and Caramel the dog.
The gite was well equipped and clean. Although small it had everything we needed for a family of four.
