About this house rental
Marvelous authentic and typical house located in the Niolo region of the scala di Santa Regina, on the road to Porto via Col de Vergio. Corte is nearby by car or through the mountain. The house is close to the GR 20 (circus of solitude, sheepfolds of Ballone), in the last village before Monte Cinto (2706 m), in the middle of several natural rivers to swim and close to Calacuccia lake
The house has two outside terrace, and a great garden with old chestnut trees. A small natural pool is at the border of the garden.
The house, erected at the end of 19 th century, has been fully renovated in the typical local style, including all the modern comfort (washing machines, wifi, TV, etc.). On the ground floor are located in the living room (including a fireplace), two bathrooms and the kitchen opening to the first outside terrace. On the first floor, a bedroom with a 140 cm bed with separate bathroom. The access to the second terrace and to the chestnut trees is located between the first and second floor.
On the second floor, 3 bedrooms with 140 cm beds and a bedroom with 4 beds of 90 cm. On the second floor, the bedrooms are deserved by a bath room.
Lot of activities are available such as hiking on the GR 20, local gold rambles, cannoning, swimming in the lake or in the wild river, mountain zip line, etc.

We had a very pleasant stay at the rose house in Poggio di Lozzi, perfect starting place to explore the Niolo. The house is spatious, well equipped and very clean, we were two familys with kids and enjoyed it a lot!

This holiday home is fantastic! I would highly recommend it to hikers and families.
The house is spacious with all the necessary equipment you need and more. There are hiking sticks to use, jeu de boule balls, dvd's, books and information sheets on the area. The house is clean and very pleasant. There are two large terraces. One with a large dining table and one with loungers and views of Monte Cinto. While laying down you frequently see kites flying over. In the large garden filled with beautiful chestnut trees, there is a natural pool and a jeu de boule court. The rain and thunder we had did not allow us to go out a lot, but in a house like this it is no problem.
The contact with the owner was very pleasant. He always responded by sms immediately to all my questions and a couple of times he asked us (unsought) if everything was allright. This concern makes you feel at home and adds to the pleasure of the holiday. Thank you Jean for your good care.
