We stayed here for about two weeks. The condo was comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well stocked, minus baking sheets. The crockpot was very helpful. Their was great air circulation and fans. Even in July we had a good nights sleep. There are a few knicks and scuffs throughout the unit. It didnt interfere with our stay but I wanted to make the owner didnt think they were from us. Also the public Sheraton beach is literally across the street. Sometimes it felt uncomfortable to leave doors ooen with the light local traffic and visitors. On the flip slide, we could see and hear the laua from the balcony.

This property is not as advertised. From the pictures posted, I had no idea that we would be overlooking a public parking lot with people coming and going by vehicle and foot from 6 AM to 9 PM to access the beach. The one picture of the lanai that is included, you can see in the bottom right corner the edge of a vehicle. If you imagine zooming out this picture, you will be overlooking an entire parking lot from both the upstairs and the downstairs lanai. We were unhappy with the quality and the upkeep of the property from the moment we stepped in, and tried to get out of the rental within 24 hours of the beginning of our stay. We communicated clearly with the host our displeasure, and she refused to let us out. Additionally, lightbulbs were burnt, outlets only half worked, cracks were in the kitchen floor, kitchen cabinet doors wouldn’t stay shut, and the water pressure was terrible. It was so inconvenient that we had to go buy our own extension cords to get fans placed in front of windows for proper airflow. If you go back and view her negative comments, you will find others with similar experiences up to 10 years ago. This shows a pattern of behavior and an unwellness to accurately list this property. Why VRBO hasn’t pulled her from their site yet, I do not know. Be very careful with this one. NOT WORTH THE MONEY, and we know what to expect after many previous VRBO rentals.

Close to beach. Great view off the deck of the ocean. The gardens were very beautiful. The only surprise was the lack of condiments (salt, pepper, ketchup, etc.) Very clean!

The quintessential location and vacation for our family of four. The condo was spacious and had everything we needed and more. Stones throw to the beach and the Sheraton which hosted a luau that we attended and recommend. Would love to return someday. Feel fortunate the hosts shared their special place with us! Thank you!!

Have stayed in several units at the kiahuna plantation over the years. This unit was steps to the beach. Dedicated parking spot. Actually we had 2 cars not a problem. The unit is exactly as posted furnishings are simple but adequate kitchen well stocked Plenty of linens towels etc. my grandson slept on the pullout couch and stated it was comfortable. Washer and dryer in unit but need to provide your own soap. Lanai very large and wonderful view. Unit next to Sheraton and can hear nightly luaus beautiful orchid garden as you come out of unit if you’re a golfer excellent course minutes away. We used beach chairs every day Several stores and restaurants within walking distance. Large swimming pool also across the street if you don’t mind walking there. Only issue which is a minor one was lighting in kitchen was sparse otherwise great unit. Will probably book again on our next visit

We feel like we really lucked out on the location with such easy close access to the beach. Management was very quick to respond to our needs, and the owner was fabulous.

This is a very nice two bedroom condo located right on the Kiahuna beach. The upstairs is open and comfortable. The downstairs has the two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The Kiahuna Plantation is a beautiful area which is landscaped beautifully. We sat on the lanai and watched the ocean roll in. The owner is good to communicate with. We enjoyed our 8-day stay here from Sept. 2 through Sept. 10 and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The location was fantastic!! We loved the fresh beach towels every day, and the gardens were impeccably maintained. The outdoor gas grills were cleaned daily making them great to use. We cooked most of our meals, and the kitchen was overall well equipped. The outdoor table and chairs on the balcony overlooking the ocean were appreciated for daytime games, meals, and drying our towels! The pool and gym area at the back of the club was fantastic. Our adult children especially loved the racquet ball courts and the sports bar, and utilized the weight equipment as well. Communication with our hostess was timely and very helpful. We’ll definitely be back.

We've stayed at Kiahuna 4 times now and it's just the best. This location has an ocean view. At first I was worried because the public parking area is right outside, but it was very quiet. The living room is well furnished and the bathrooms are very nice. The bed was kind of bouncy, but otherwise we had an excellent stay.

Traveled with senior citizens and little kids. Worked great to all. Right next to sheraton and a short walk to poipu beach. You wont gobwronf with this. Only watch out is the pool is across the road but that didnt bother us.

The condo is located just beyond the parking for beach access next to the Sheraton Poipu. The ocean views from the familyroom, balcony and the master bedroom are fabulous. The condo though is dated, with dirty carpet, old appliances, a dead electrical outlet, a couple light bulbs out and leaky second bath shower. This property could shine with a little TLC. But I won't rent again as it stands now.

The owner and condo were great. The location was beautiful as were the grounds and gardens. The staff was very pleasant. Many nice restaurants to enjoy with a very nice beach. Perhaps we have become spoiled by our experience on Maui but from 9 am to 3 pm the noise is non stop. The sounds of industrial leaf blowers, trimmers, mowers and maintence carts driving on the walkways took away from our experience. Unfortunately this was out of the control of the owner, she passed along our concerns to the grounds managers. If your looking for a great base to explore the Island this condo is ideal. If you like to just stay in one spot and relax in peace and quiet this is not the place for that, we are sorry to say.

Our condo was perfect 2 bedroom 2 bath with a sleeper sofa , very roomy and charming , 2 lanai"s with a great view of ocean and small public park less than 100 yards away and a beautiful lagoon with plenty of flowers and plants, landscaped very nice ,would recommend, I would stay here again.

We just spent a week at the Kiahuna plantation. The condo was amazing. It felt as if the owners had though of everything - from the beach basket to the toddler gate for the stairs. We were 6 adults and one toddler and the condo was very comfortable. We spent a lot of time cooking, so the fact that the kitchen was well equipped was a big deal for us. And since we had a toddler with us, we really appreciated the washer and drier. We loved the view from the lanai and had dinner there a few times. The location of the whole complex can't be beat. We spent a lot of time on the beach and walked over to the Poipu beach where our toddler could run around more freely. The waves were pretty big right in front of the condo so we had to keep an eye on him. We also tried the tennis club. We played a few games a tennis and enjoyed the pool. Again, the toddler was a big fan of the wading section and the water slide. We would come back here in a heartbeat. One week felt a bit too short. Also, we tried the restaurant right on the property and the food was really good.

We had an absolutely delightful two-week vacation. The Kiahuna Plantation condo was all it said it would be--and more. Believe the pictures you see on the condo web site. Evening meals on the upper lanai were enhanced by a perfect ocean view under starlit skies. Couldn't imagine a more lovely place to spend our vacation. It truly felt like our home away from home. The condo's tropical decor theme added to our pleasant daily routines while "home". The condo owner was so gracious answering all questions relating to our stay, prior and after, and offered many helpful tips which we used daily. One was the Sunset Dinner special across the street at Keiki's Restaurant--a fantastic tropical waterfall setting and exceptional dinner! You have to stop at Lappert's Ice Cream shop for some of the most unusual A-plus ice cream flavors. Historic Koloa Town is a stone's thrown away and a convenient place to grocery shop, gas up, and buy your Kauai souvenirs. The town is also your gateway to the rest of the island, making Kiahuna Plantation the ideal location on Kauai. The plantation grounds are immaculate, extensive, and abounding with flowering trees and shrubs, along with Moir Cactus Garden. Across the lagoon, grilling stations and picnic tables offered an alternative to indoor meals. Daily walks around the plantation found us surrounded by orchids and unusual tropical trees and plants. The Po'ipu coast was our best choice and there was lots to do. We rented a car--definite recommendation--and had no problems getting around the island. With a two-week stay, we experienced everything on our "must see" list--all coast lines, Waimea Canyon, Wailua River/Fern Grotto, Duke's Canoe Club on Nawiliwili Beach, Lynngate Beach Park, the entire North Shore including the historic lighthouse and wildlife refuge. We finally saw a Nene, the Hawaiian state bird and its newborn chick. Although we took a Captain Andy's catamaran cruise to Napali, we would recommend another cruise. Captain Andy's cruise was at warp speed through the waves and everyone on the boat was soaked to the skin. Still enjoyed the magnificent view of the Napali mountains. Smith's Gardens and luau is a must and, in our opinion, the best price for the best show on the island. Couple Wailua River/Fern Grotto with Smith's for a great discounted price. If you want that special vacation, this is the condo to consider. You won't regret your choice. Would I return? In a heart beat!

The location of this condo was excellent; just steps from the beach. The large upper deck/lanai had a view of the beach, and a dining table and lounge chairs. It was a spacious, comfortable condo. The washer/dryer was a bonus. The pool was across the street, not on site. There was a nice fitness center. The complex provided beach chairs, no lounges or umbrellas. We enjoyed our stay and would stay in this unit again.

we stayed here for Spring break this year(March 13-23rd 2014) and had an awesome time. The Condo really is special with ocean views and it being so close to the beach. My son learned to surf at Kauai Surf school right out in front of us. The snorkeling and boogie boarding on Kiahuna beach is really incredible too. This was a perfect place to stay for our family of 4, with our 14 year old daughter and 11 year old son. Very family friendly and has all the conveniences of home with the sound of the ocean added in. Can't wait to go back, we will definitely stay here again!
