About this house rental
In the heart of the Alpine Village is the Winter Wren, a perfect place for one or two families to spread out and enjoy. From here you can ski to the lifts or stare at the views of Strathcona Park. Here to relax? We have you covered; with no vehicle traffic you can watch the kids play outside without having to worry. Have fun playing a variety of board games, make memories and soak up the magic of the Alpine Vilage in style this winter at the Birdhouse.
We are a ski out chalet and at the end of the day you will have to take your skis off to walk up the hill- the magic at the top is worth it!
The Winter Wren is a pet free accommodation; no exceptions.
During the winter months the village is walk in only. From the parking lot it is about a 7-8 minute walk to the Winter Wren and a 5 minute walk from the unloading area. We provide one complimentary shuttle in to deliver your bags and gear to your holiday home during ski season. The Winter Wren is designated for two parking spots during the winter months in the village parking lots.
During the summer/fall months you can drive right up to the Wren. There is road parking beside the building or you can park in Dougan's parking lot.
Note: The bunk beds are located in a common loft area.

**Parking during the Winter Months: Please note, a week prior to your trip you will be asked to provide your license plate number along with a reachable phone number while on the mountain. This is required for vehicle parking registration PRIOR to your arrival. Vehicles not registered or parking information provided at the time of arrival may risk the vehicle being towed. The Winter Wren has been assigned parking for 2 vehicles only. Additional parking passes are not available at this time.

+Complete amenities.( kitchen,bedding,laundry etc.) Beautiful location.
-Access road in very poor condition. Not enough parking for building, parking spots barely usable or unusable for for larger suvs or pickups.

Great communication and cute place! The living room seating comfortably fits 5 people. It was nice to have the alpine shuttle included to take our stuff to the rental. Thanks!

Great place with all the details you could desire taken care of. White noise machines, towels for the gear room, sharp knives and all the gadgets you need in the kitchen! It was quiet even with other people staying in the attached units. Super cozy, incredibly responsive hosts and cute touches for Christmas. We had everything we needed. All that was missing was a fireplace, but it was still cozy and comfortable for the holidays. Thank you!FYI If you have mobility issues this is not the easiest place to get to but it is on a great hill for sledding which was great for our family!!!
