Sakunami Onsen Yuzukushi Salon Ichinobo

The facilities, the onsen, the care of the staff, the amazing rooms. Perfect break in between a long and busy scheduled vacations

Really great among onsen. Food could be slightly better, also no private outside onsen. But these are really tiny inconvenience.

Staff was great. Food was just ok, but nothing amazing. Room was great and spacious. Private bath was also amazing.

Baths were just a bit too small for the amount of people that had to share them.

The private and public onsen baths. The shower, bath gel and shampoo. Cleaning staff superb and very punctual when we asked for an earlier cleaning session. The lightness of the furniture, we can move the sofa, the small glass top table. All the amenities in the room, even the quality of the paper towels (soft but very good at drying hands). Staff in the lobby area very helpful and polite. Buffet food very good both for breakfast and dinner.

The unusual way the building interior is organized. We later found out that it is due to the age of the building. But the renovated rooms are good.

The entire experience was so pleasant, with rooms were comfortable and well equipped. The public baths at the Hirose River were also very relaxing and enjoyable and mealtimes were a delight to the senses with chef prep stations. The public spaces with library, fireplace, and seating invited you to contemplate and bask in peace and enjoy nature.

There were simply too many things to do and not enough time that it merits a multiple night stay.
