About this house rental
Valley Lane is a luxurious, comfortable spacious home in a beautiful peaceful setting, ideal for your family get-togethers or group retreats. It has beautiful gardens, lush with flowers, vegetables, herbs and fruits that you can harvest and use. It is child-friendly for families and also can be configured for couples or for retreats. (5 sleeping rooms - one is a pass-through room - please contact us for a bed diagrams to clarify the layouts). Hardwood floors throughout. 3 bathrooms. Indoor dining table seats 12-14.

Pool and hot tub were great. Kitchen had everything we needed. Host was responsive to a couple of equipment failures. Location was quiet and convenient to town. We did kayaking, golf and wine tasting.

We stayed for our family vacation with 9 people ages 21 to 84. We gathered from different locations and our host provided early entry to the property for some that arrived before check-in time which was much appreciated.Upon our arrival, we discovered that the pool was unusable and the air-conditioning was not working. I contacted our host and the pool was cleaned and usable on the third day of the stay. The host also sent HVAC team to repair the AC. This was completed on our 3rd day, however, we did not experience any cooling from the vents in the house. If it was truly fixed, I would then say that the air conditioning is not efficient in the house.The description mentions that the house is not wheelchair accessible, the house is one story but there are deep steps into the garage/rec room, family room, and family room bathroom which is important for those with mobility issues to know.We prepared and cooked all of our meals at the house. The kitchen is well organized with ample cookware etc. The two refrigerators and freezers were very helpful for our weeklong stay. The front garden is magical with little pathways that lead to a sitting area under a large fig tree and a lovely bench to sit on right outside the front window. The backyard had a large deck with seating area and small dining area - perfect for breakfast or a cup of coffee. Pool and seating area were nice as well.Neighborhood is super quiet and location close to Armstrong Redwoods and downtown!

Property was just as pictured, if not, more beautiful than the listing. Just a few maintenance claims/request, i.e. dishwasher, water system for pool, and the gate needed attention but overall we had a pleasant stay and the property had everything we needed to prep meals. The two fridges also came in handy.

This home is peaceful and beautiful! We were able to enjoy our visit with out of town family while preparing for a wedding. Thank you so much for the bottle of wine, we only wish we had another day to relax! I would definitely rent this home again!
