Sea view apartment 700m.de the beach, in Lumio in the Marina of Sant Ambroggio

I can very definitely strongly recommend this apartment for both couples and families. We are a family of five, with children aged 8,11 and 13. We had a fantastic holiday in Corsica and our first week was spent in this apartment. There are 2 double bedrooms and so one of us slept on the couch every night but this was no problem. The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable. It, unlike most holiday apartments, has all home comforts. We like cooking and were delighted to find that herbs, salt, pepper etc. etc. were all there with plenty of utensils. There were also dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, matches etc.etc. The apartment was clean and the location is great with just a short walk down to a sandy beach and the marina. There is also a small shop a few minutes walk away where you can get fresh bread, croissants and pain au chocolat in the morning for breakfast. It is a short drive away from lots of beautiful beaches and towns of Calvi and Ile de Rousse. The apartment is not large but very well laid out and as I said before well-equipped, although one comment I would make is that it was very hot whilst we were there and the bedrooms got very hot - I would recommend that fans be provided for these two rooms when the weather is so hot (over 35 in the day). There is a fan already provided for the living area. The owners were always very helpful and very quick to respond via email with any questions that I had both before and during the holiday - thank you! We can recommend taking a boat trip to see the Scandola Nature Reserve which is spectacular. There are lots of brochures etc. in the apartment too which was very helpful. We also all also enjoyed the climbing adventure rope park up in the trees at Calvi but there are various different ones all over the island. We also can recommend the restaurant Le Pain de Sucre. It is right on the beach a short drive from the apartment. It is rather expensive but the food was really excellent - specialising in seafood. Watching the sunset over the beach whilst sitting eating dinner there was one of my favourite memories from the holiday. Just a warning for families though - there is no kids menu - so it is rather pricey if eating out as a family and if your children are not adventurous with food I would not recommend it.
