About this house rental
Kara's Sandcastle is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy everything the Outer Banks has to offer or to simply enjoy time spent together. This home is located in a quiet cul-de-sac just a short walk to a direct beach access with no roads to cross. This home also backs up to a very large undeveloped section in the heart of beautiful Corolla which allows for additional privacy while spending time on the large deck where you can hear the ocean and see the night sky or just enjoy the sea breeze.
The dog friendly home offers a dog run under the house with gates on the deck, ramp and by the driveway to keep your furry friend safe (please check the one by the stairs is closed prior to letting dog loose). There is also a great ramp to bring up belongings and groceries, for those that hate stairs and all dogs love!
A puzzle table/work space is a nice convenience located in the downstairs full bedroom. There are many puzzles and games to choose from for family game nights.
Kara's Sandcastle is conveniently located close to some of the best restaurants, shopping, sightseeing, Corolla's wild horses, the historic Corolla Lighthouse and many fun activities to create the ultimate beach vacation.

The house was clean, cozy, well equipped, and close to the beach. It has a lovely outdoor space, with a convenient ramp, which is helpful when loading and unloading your belongings. Our older dog appreciated all the pet friendly amenities, as well.

My family stayed at Kara's Sandcastle for two weeks and enjoyed our entire stay. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. We appreciated all of the cooking equipment, including good knives which are rarely found in rentals! We also liked the enclosed deck, ramp, and dog area for our Wheaten Terrier. The ramp was super convenient for moving our stuff in and out and was also great for our elderly grandmother who has a hard time with stairs. We really liked the woods behind the house which meant it was nice and quiet. Kara's Sandcastle is a super quick walk to the beach and the rolling cart was very useful for bringing our umbrellas etc. The house is ideally located near shopping and off the main road. We hope to come back soon!PS It is a dog friendly house, so there was dog fur on some of the blankets and covers, but since it was so hot we didn't need them. As dog lovers ourselves, we didn't mind, but thought you should know.
