Your Bowie Acres adventure begins at this charming 2-bedroom updated home. With a cozy full bed and full bunk bed (lower) single bed (upper) setup, guests can unwind in this peaceful retreat. Enjoy the convenience of amenities like WiFi, AC, and a washing machine, covered parking, fenced yard, small dogs are welcome if house broken, outdoor patio grill and an area to park boats or RV's if you are pulling a recreational type of vehicle.
Bowie Acres is set on 40 acres of wilderness area near Lake Amon G. Carter. The property secluded and at the end of a dead-end driveway. The home is set above Lake Amon G. Carter offering a panoramic view of the lake. Best views are during fall and winter. You will have access to 40 acres to hike and enjoy nature. There are no trails as this property is untamed. Bring your fishing poles as the lake is just down the hill. Lake Carter is stocked with largemouth bass, crappie and catfish. The wildlife you could see are deer, racoons, possums, rabbits, coyotes and large assortment of birds.
Nearby attractions are downtown Bowie with thrift shops, second-hand resale stores, restaurants, and on some weekends Second Mondays (large flea market). Allsup convenience store with gas and snacks is nearby as is a local Walmart for the needs you may have forgotten. Bowie Acres is situated one hour from Fort Worth where you can visit the big city but retreat at night to a quiet and secluded rest home. If you are looking for a big city, feel with a small-town appeal then Wichita Falls Texas is 40 minutes from Bowie Acres.
The Bowie Horse and Livestock sale barn is 8.5 miles from the property. There is room for a livestock trailer here at Bowie Acres. There is an area to keep your horses in until your departure.

Great stay across the board. Unique location with beautiful scenery. Spacious, clean, great amenities, and friendly host. We'll be staying here again if we come back to Bowie.
