Frank Brown Park, PCB Aquatics Center, Man in the Sea Museum, Aaron Bessant Park, City Pier, Top Golf, Dolly Parton's Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show and more are very close to The Shell House. So, if you're coming to PCB for National Championship Little League tournament, Fast Pitch Soft Ball regional tournaments, USFA Dirt Wars, Grand Slam World Series, Thunder Beach Motorcycle Rally, Gulf Coast Jam, Minor League Paintball Classic, Pirates of the High Seas Festival, Jazz Festival, Wine Festival, Scottish Festival and MORE are all literally just down the street from The Shell House.
The Shell House at Horizon South Resort is near perfection for anyone seeking an opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle to experience relaxing in a private, serene oasis enjoying down time with friends and family yet able to enjoy great amenities right outside the door. Just a few of the onsite amenities to enjoy are four sparkling pools (one heated during the winter) kiddie pool, hot tub, an exercise facility, shuffle board court, horse shoe pit, tennis courts, and an onsite putt putt golf course. The community is gated with on duty staff.
One of the great advantages of vacationing at The Shell House is never having to deal with crowded elevators, packed parking decks or on display balconies. The Shell House is a 2 story townhome with ground floor access, parking is right in front of the building and the spacious patio is open to the beautiful Florida sunshine but privacy is assured due to the Privacy fence that completely surrounds the large patio. There is a charcoal grill on the patio so burgers, steaks and seafood is easy to prepare.
Convenience is another important factor enjoyed while staying at The Shell House. The Horizon South Resort's north side gate provides direct access to Panama City Beach Parkway, locals still refer to it as Back Beach Road, and the southern gate is on Front Beach Road directly in front the renowned Sugar White beach and glistening Aqua, crystal clear Gulf.
In addition to the special events and tournaments nearby, Frank Brown Park also has all weather tennis and basket ball courts, kids playground and Splash pool, dog park, Picnic Pavilion, Youth Fishing pond, and Gayle's Trails a beautiful urban trail enjoyed by hikers and nature lovers.

Unit was not pet friendly as listed, I checked with host 2 weeks before and he confirmed everything was good. Still have the messages. When HOA contacted him about the pet he informed me that I never asked about the pet and I needed to board my pet, he did offer to pay for the boarding but I have a Chihuahua that has separation anxiety and he doesn’t allow anyone near him that he doesn’t know, hence why we found a pet friendly unit. The only way for the pet could stay was if he was a service dog or have a signed letter from Dr stating that I needed an emotional support animal and why. We checked in on a Saturday at 4pm, do you know how hard it was to find a Dr when you’re 10 hours away from home on a Saturday evening. I was also confronted by an HOA resident asking about my pet and telling me that I’m breaking the rules, at this point I had already spent hours trying to secure this letter so we didn’t have to find somewhere else to stay on a Saturday evening. However after some back in forth with host Dr George, he was supportive and apologetic for what happened and informed us that the property was under new management, new rules and the listing shouldn’t have said ‘pet friendly’. The property was as listed, beds were comfortable, Host was fast to respond and we finally got to enjoy our vacation after 2 days of back and forth with HOA and host.
