Chic Townhouse Steps to the Beach Outdoor Pools

The host of this property was outstanding. If I sent a message or had an issue, or question I received a response very quickly. If they did not have an answer, they still responded and let me know they were looking into the issue and would update me ASAP, and they did! The beds were super comfortable, and being able to walk to the beach was exactly what we needed! We have 4 teenage boys, so they were able to swim, play putt putt and pickle ball most anytime they wanted. We loved that beach towels were provided, which may seem silly to be happy about, but when you are packing for 6, that saves a lot of space. We also did not have to take beach chairs or an umbrella! We loved the privacy of the outdoor space, and that it was a private community. Again, I cannot say enough about the host responding to messages and trying to accommodate us as best they could. I also love that this place had several ceiling fans, and one you could use at night if you are used to hearing a fan blow. We also love that this was on the back of the property, so we were secluded from the noise and people. We were able to walk to the beach, an ice cream shop, a shopping center, and 2 amazing restaurants are within walking distance. A short 8 minute drive and we were able to visit the pier and walk around Pier Park.

Some things that I did not like. 1. There was a major ant problem. We noticed this as soon as we arrived, but they never came inside so we did not complain, but if you sat anything outside it was covered with ants in a matter of minutes. Again, if they would have been an issue inside, we would have sent a message. Another complaint is that we had to purchase wristbands for each member to use the amenities included which are $20 each. It is worth it, and we didn't min, so not just anyone could come use the amenities, however I feel like this should be mentioned in the listing, we had chosen not to rent a few properties for this very reason. Again, I do not disagree with requiring them, just wish the cost was mentioned in the listing. Another disappointment was you are only provided with a single roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, and a single roll of paper towels. While I do not expect them to provide us with these needs the entirety of the trip, having a back up of each would have been nice. The biggest disappointment we had does not reflect the owner of this place at all, as it is out of their control. Even with purchasing wristbands and having 4 pools on the property, there were a few times that there were several children there not being supervised, adults with food and drinks in the pools, kids playing in the hot tub (handstands, flips, etc.) and the pools would be so overcrowded that there was no room to swim. Several of these visitors were not wearing wristbands, and boasted that security never checked, so they just snuck in. I did message the manager of this booking, and they reported it, security came and was told they all left their wristbands in their rooms or cars and they were told just to wear them next time. Things like this is why we paid for a wristband! May not seem like a big deal, but one time I counted 35 people not wearing wristbands, and we were not able to enjoy the pool, because there was no room. Again, this is not a host issue!
