New! Villas 2ch forest, sea view, air conditioning, very quiet pool for 2 to 4 people

As a couple we were staying for 7 nights in Christian’s house in the beautiful hills close to Bouillante on the west coast of Guadeloupe. We really enjoyed our stay in this retreat most of the time and generally recommend it to other travellers. The view on the lush tropical garden, the pool and the close-by ocean are stunning. You have a calm and relaxing time in the house most of the time which is ideally located to make several trips throughout the beautiful surroundings. It was great to simply chill and relax on the deckchairs by the pool or on the house‘s terrace, watching the sunset or countless colibri birds in the forest. Down in the village there is a well-fitted Carrefour Market and a vegetable stand where you can buy day-to-day grocery. Christian, the host, is a very friendly and communicative person who even allowed us to stay a few hours longer on the day of our departure, which was very convenient for us. Many thanks again for that! However, we have to mention some points that should be improved by the owners respectively have to be considered by travellers: - some parts of the kitchen equipment is very used and old, especially pots, plates and pans definately need an upgrade - at some point warm-water supply fully stopped for three days before our departure and was not fixed - since you live very close to nature in the middle of a tropical garden you are exposed to certain animals also in the open kitchen and outdoor lounge. we were absolutere fine with birds, frogs, lizards, insects etc. - no problem. However, rats coming to the place, were sort of unacceptable and the owners should do something against them, because that was quite disgusting. All-in-all we enjoyed the time there and would consider to book it again.
