Cool Studio Space in Washington, D.C.

My daughter and I needed a place to stay while she had an externship in DC. This studio was an extremely good value. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the Rhode Island Metro Station, giving easy access to NoMa and downtown. There was also a grocery strore and several food options in easy walking distance. The host was also flexible with me when I needed to check out later than the indicated time. Only issue of note was that the garbage had not been taken out. The previous person staying there may have neglected to do so. Otherwise, we had a very good stay. This is definitely a grest option if you are looking to visit DC on a budget!

The studio apartment has everything you need and expect from a VRBO property and our host Nicolas was very attentive and excellent with all communications and questions. We were very comfortable in the accommodations. The only thing I regret is not checking on the distance from the metro (or from IAD) when arriving late at night. Nicolas made it as easy as possible but we would not have found it walking with our bags from the station. Thankfully we did use Lyft and arrived safely.

Overall it was ok. The host was very responsive and supportive with our requests and needs. The space itself is good for short trips and people that are out most of the time. We didn't know that there would be people upstairs. While they were not intrusive, they were extremely loud most hours of the evening making it difficult to relax and sleep at certain points. The place is in a convenient location near shops, restaurants, and public transit.
