- One of the most dog friendly beaches in the U.S. - you can walk them on the beach anytime 24/7 for 365 days of the year, just keep them on a leash and scoop the poop
- Favorite Cape restaurants - Scully's & Coneheads
- Favorite Port St. Joe restaurants: Provisions, Pepper's, Joe Mama's (pizza), Indian Pass Raw Bar Intown
- Apalachicola favorites: Half Shell Marina, Oyster City Brewpub, Owl Cafe, Up-the-Creek Raw Bar and shopping!
- For donuts -- Weber's Donuts by the Tradin' Post (closed on Sundays and Mondays), get there early because the donuts go fast (9:30am might be too late!)
- Local market/general store in walking distance is Tradin' Post and you can find pretty much anything there
