About this house rental

This property is located just 13 minutes to downtown and Panthers Stadium, 6 minutes to The White Water Center, and 7 minutes to historic downtown Belmont.
We are a $6 Uber ride from the airport. A huge shopping outlet is 10 minutes away

The place started as a 1 room log cabin that was added to many times over the years. In 2021 we stripped the place to its bones and updated everything while keeping what was cool about the place. We think the result is a cabin with all the character you could want and all the modern features of a true luxury vacation venue. You should take the time to walk the miracle mile. A street that is lined with trees that canopy the road and views of the lake that are just beautiful. You can spend evenings by the rock fire pit with a waterfall feature or on the swing porch that is lake front. You may want to relax in the copper lined bubble infused soaking tub or the incredible steam shower. This home oozes luxury and romance! We have. very nice luxury Pontoon available at your dock at discounted rate for guests.
Lake Wylie has split personalities and our lodge sits at the nexus of theses two worlds. Boat south and you pass marinas, restaurants, party sandbars, water skiing competitions and more.
Drive north and you will follow the old river basin. You should be more experienced to take this trip as you could encounter strong currents and many sand bars but the reward is the quiet river run full of nature preserves and river cabins that have been there for close to a century. You can't really get to top of the river as it is too rocky but you can get close. When the river is moving you can ride the current heading back home with the motor off for a couple of miles. That serene, quiet float is pretty awesome!

Please note; if anyone in your party has mobility issues you will want to be careful considering this place. The house is positioned on a sloping lot. The front steps were constructed with boulders, there are spiral stairs to the lower level and 34 steps down to the lake.

This was one of the most well thought out VRBO homes we have ever stayed at! It was clean, warm, and welcoming upon arriving with chocolates, snacks, and hotel like amenities waiting for us. The gas lanterns that lit the entrance from the street and front door were a beautiful touch. I will forever remember the double front doors! I want them for my home! The entire home was decorated with the owners paying attention to every detail and the copper lined tub was something to admire. Linens were luxury and the steam shower downstairs was impressive! The kitchen was well thought out although we didn't get to cook much. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the property to the fullest extent since we were in the area house hunting and spent every day/evening out. Our original arrival time had changed a couple times but Bob was very flexible and accommodating. He even called us to see if we had any issues checking in. Such a gracious host! Check in and check out instructions were clearly defined with not a lot of extra work involved, which was appreciated. Side note for transparency: this home may not work well for someone who may need assistance with stairs. There are several large steps leading down from the street level where the cars are parked, a spiral staircase to the downstairs, and steps to the dock. It wasn't a problem for us though.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The kitchen was gorgeous, and had everything we needed for the weekend. We loved the separate den area off the kitchen, which worked great for a space for the kids to play. Bob was very responsive and a great host. We would definitely stay here again!
