Welcome to Savannah's Vernon Oaks — a private waterfront retreat where coastal beauty, comfort and Southern charm come together just minutes from Savannah's Historic District.
Set on two private acres with approximately 250 feet of frontage along the Vernon River, Vernon Oaks offers a setting that's hard to find this close to downtown Savannah. Spend your days by the saltwater pool, unwind in the hot tub, or settle onto one of the home's balconies as the sun sets over the river.
Towering live oaks frame the property, including Vern, our magnificent live oak named for the Vernon River he overlooks. Estimated to be more than 350 years old, Vern greets you as you arrive and sets the tone for this remarkable waterfront setting. Beyond him, the home unfolds across three levels, offering families and groups plenty of room to gather, along with comfortable spaces to retreat.
GROUND LEVEL
The ground level includes a private apartment with modern finishes, a full kitchen, combo living area/bedroom, with washer and dryer. A fitness room and an additional bedroom are also located on this level, making it especially convenient for guests who appreciate a little extra privacy.
MAIN LEVEL
The heart of the home is on the second level, where the main living room with fireplace opens to the kitchen and dining areas. Dining space for 20, making meals together easy even for larger groups.
Two bedrooms are located on this floor, each with its own private full bath. You'll also find a powder room and laundry room, along with access to outdoor spaces overlooking the grounds and Vernon River.
UPPER LEVEL
On the third floor, a large sitting room provides another place to relax and can also serve as a sixth sleeping space when needed
The primary suite access flows through the sitting room and occupies the remainder of the upper level and feels like a retreat of its own. Two private balconies offer beautiful views, while inside you'll find a wet bar with mini refrigerator, walk-in closet, lighted tray ceiling and a three-sided fireplace shared with the en-suite bath.
The primary bath features double vanities, a lighted mirror, jetted soaking tub and oversized shower with double heads plus a rain shower head.
OUTDOOR LIVING
The setting is one of the things that makes Vernon Oaks truly special. The saltwater pool and hot tub overlook the river, while mature live oaks provide a distinctly Savannah backdrop. Multiple balconies and outdoor gathering areas give you plenty of choices for morning coffee, an afternoon by the water or drinks as the sun goes down.

If I could give this property more than 5 stars I would! The host made us feel very welcome and informed from the beginning to the end of our trip! Our first impression upon arrival with the huge oak tree with the Spanish moss hanging from it and fountain was breathtaking. The home itself was perfect and every detail was thought of from the the amazing beds and appliances down to the little signage that somehow fit in with the decor and left us with no questions of where things were placed, and instructions for the things we needed to know. There were more than enough bath towels, pool towels, coffee and supplies! This is something that is sometimes lacking. Our most favorite thing to do was just to sit out back in the hot tub, watch nature and enjoy the awesome view as the kids played in the pool. We hope to return again on our next trip!

This was the perfect home for our family. We preferred being at the house, enjoying the pool, hottub and taking in the beautiful scenery from the deck. The house was stocked with everything you could possibly need. We can't wait to visit again.

Amazing stay and even better memories made here! Thank you so much to Trey for allowing us to have a micro wedding celebration, we could not have asked for a better place to start the next chapter of our lives. The majority of conversations this weekend mentioned how the house had everything anyone could need from safety pins for securing broken dress straps to bug spray and kids sunscreen. We did not want to leave! Many many tears were shed saying good bye to such a beautiful house. We will be back!

The owner came through for my family when we were dealing with a family emergency. The home is beautiful, with a stunning view and a layout that allows for both communal and private spaces.
