Welcome to Savannah's Vernon Oaks — a private waterfront retreat where coastal luxury, relaxation and Southern charm come together just minutes from Savannah's Historic District.
Set on two private acres with approximately 250 feet of frontage along the Vernon River, Vernon Oaks offers sweeping water views and unforgettable sunsets from throughout the property. Spend your days by the saltwater pool, unwind in the hot tub, or settle onto one of the home's expansive balconies as the sun sets over the river.
Towering live oaks frame the property, including Vern, our magnificent live oak named for the Vernon River he overlooks. Estimated to be more than 350 years old, Vern greets you as you arrive and sets the tone for this remarkable waterfront setting.
The home unfolds across three spacious levels, offering families and groups plenty of room to gather while still providing comfortable spaces to retreat.
The ground level features a studio apartment with modern finishes, full kitchen, combined living and sleeping area, and washer and dryer, along with an additional private bedroom and fitness room. For reservations of 13 or 14 guests, the fitness room is converted into an additional sleeping room with a bed, allowing Vernon Oaks to comfortably accommodate up to 14 overnight guests. The fitness equipment remains in place and available for use.
The main level is the heart of the home, with a spacious living room and fireplace opening to the kitchen and ample dining space for all guests. Two bedrooms are located on this level, each with its own private full bath. You'll also find a powder room, laundry room and access to outdoor spaces overlooking the grounds and Vernon River.
The upper level features two bedrooms, including the expansive owner's suite. The owner's suite offers two private balconies, a wet bar with mini refrigerator, walk-in closet, lighted tray ceiling and a three-sided fireplace shared with the en-suite bath. The bath features double vanities, a lighted mirror, jetted soaking tub and an oversized shower with multiple shower heads.
Outside, the saltwater pool and hot tub overlook the river beneath a canopy of mature live oaks. Multiple balconies and outdoor gathering areas provide plenty of places for morning coffee, an afternoon by the water or drinks as the sun goes down. As evening settles in, gather around the fire pit, enjoy the river breeze or simply take in the quiet of two private waterfront acres.
Smart TVs are provided throughout the home, and guests can enjoy a selection of indoor and outdoor games during their stay.
When you're ready to explore, Savannah's restaurants, nightlife, architecture and historic squares are just minutes away, with Tybee Island an easy drive from the property and the Historic District only approximately 10 minutes from the home.

What a wonderful place to make memories! The house was beautiful, comfortable, and perfect for bringing our family together. With several of my kids preparing for upcoming deployments, this time together meant even more to all of us. We relaxed, enjoyed incredible sunsets, and created memories we’ll cherish forever. Thank you, Trey, for being such a great host and sharing your amazing home with us. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for this special time together.

9 of us stayed 3 nights in this GEM for my 50th bday. The pictures don't do it justice! It is beautiful inside and out. From the majestic 353 year old tree named Fern that welcomes you to the details in and around the home, the reviews are legit! Book it! Details like refrigerated creamer at all 3 coffee stations on each floor, each with plenty of coffee mugs, even the carafe filled with water on the master suite. Great quality silverware, plates and glassware. A plethora of towels, trash bags, cleaning supplies, toiletry extras. The house was pristine when I arrived, AC already cool to cover the 100 heat index. Other things we loved: The SONOS sound system. Download the app, no need to sign up, just connect to WiFi and control all 4 levels of very high end sound in LR, downstairs, deck and pool(speakers surround the pool). Very easy to switch who's djing and have varying volume levels. The 12 person dining table had the best vibe for meals.Backyard sunsets on the Vernon River were magical. We brought chairs and blankets and soaked in golden hour. Huge yard. The river is a tidal river so water flows in & out. Not a good put in for water sports you would need to go to a normal put in. The downstairs BR apartment is so cool! I almost chose that one. 2 of the BR are couch beds are they are comfy. Of note: you walk THRU one couch BR to get to Master. Left a pricey item(Lola blanket), called them & got that plus 2 other discovered items gladly shipped on my . Great host! A!

If I could give this property more than 5 stars I would! The host made us feel very welcome and informed from the beginning to the end of our trip! Our first impression upon arrival with the huge oak tree with the Spanish moss hanging from it and fountain was breathtaking. The home itself was perfect and every detail was thought of from the the amazing beds and appliances down to the little signage that somehow fit in with the decor and left us with no questions of where things were placed, and instructions for the things we needed to know. There were more than enough bath towels, pool towels, coffee and supplies! This is something that is sometimes lacking. Our most favorite thing to do was just to sit out back in the hot tub, watch nature and enjoy the awesome view as the kids played in the pool. We hope to return again on our next trip!
