Emerald Shores is a unique, gated resort community in lovely Miramar Beach comprised of 95 stucco homes. This one-of-a-kind neighborhood boasts its own private beach pavilion with restrooms, showers and a sunbathing deck with chairs. Neighborhood amenities include a tennis court, basketball court, two pools (one seasonally heated) and a seasonal tram to the beach.
** Seasonal Armband Policy March 12-Oct 31** Guests over the age of 12 must purchase and maintain armbands to access Beach Pavilion, pool area and beach. Armbands are $30 per home and will be valid for one week; available for purchase at Pavilion.**
**The Emerald Shores Pavilion Decking Project will start on Monday, April 28, 2025 and go through May 13, 2025. The west side of the pavilion including the restrooms will be closed and blocked off during the project. The walkway to the beach, shower and wagon area will remain open.**
**The Tennis/Pickleball Court resurfacing will start approximately May 5, 2025 through May 20, 2025. **

Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate-themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest! Destin Commons also has a mini-train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants.
If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach Access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

Overall beautiful house and location with easy beach access. Had few issues with appliances. Luckily, the property manger is very responsive. Issues with lack of pressure in upstairs hall shower (was easily fixed) as well as with the upstairs hall toilet which required multiple flushes/holding down handle to flush as it was slow to run. Was advised it couldn't be fixed but my husband (handyman) said it could be fixed but would require an extra part. Not a huge issue but consider buying extra part. Also, the washer machine is outdated and difficult to use. We had to rewash a load multiple times as it either wouldn't drain, wouldn't clean the clothes or the top wouldn't stay closed and we had to put something "heavy" on the top to keep it closed. We ended up giving up on doing laundry there. Also, the dishwasher needs some instructions as you have to push a few buttons twice to get it to start.
A few other things to consider when booking: We loved the fact of having 2 king beds for the 2 couples going on the trip which were nice big rooms but the 1 room has to share the hall bathroom with the bunkbed room. Also, the glass shower slide door looks nice but difficult to bath toddlers in.
Otherwise, house is right next to the pool which is great. Easy walk to the beach. Appreciated beach carts. Good kitchen tools and loved outdoor table and grill. Nice neighborhood. Good location. Close by stores/restaurants. Private beautiful beach access with bathrooms and loved beach chairs

Great house! That was our 4th time in emerald shores and this house was by far the most well kept! The beach setup made the whole trip! No waking up early to rush to the beach and reserve a spot, it was already taken care of! We will be back!

We’ve stayed in Emerald Shores 3 times and loved it each time! This is our first time staying at this property but will absolutely keep in mind for our next vacation! The home was very clean and exactly as described. Kitchen is very well stocked and had everything we needed for home cooked meals! The side door makes the downstairs shower easily accessible for kids to use after coming back from the beach. And laundry being right there helps keep any sand that may be left on towels and suits from being tracked through the house.
Two things to make note of:
1. The back door deadbolt would not lock. The handle does lock but once you turn it to check the lock, it unlocks itself and you have to lock again. Possibly just an issue with the wood swelling causing deadbolt to not fully extend?
2. The fan in master bath does not work. Just makes a humming noise.
Neither of these were issues we deemed necessary to contact management about while we were staying as they were not major issues for us. . But should probably be looked into!
