About this house rental
The house Eulennest is an idyllic detached holiday home right by the forest in the immediate vicinity of the climatic health resort of Hilders. Surrounded by unspoilt trees at an altitude of 600m, the house in an absolutely quiet location offers ideal conditions for a relaxing and relaxing stay in the Rhön Biosphere Reserve.
The house offers u. a. 75 sqm living space, living room with sofa bed and tiled stove (firewood available!), 2x toilet and shower, washing machine, satellite TV, CD / DVD player, game console, modern infrared radiators, fully equipped kitchen, grill, further features see 'Equipment'.
You are welcome to bring a dog (other dogs on request).
The place Hilders with many leisure activities (e.g. Ulsterwelle swimming pool with sauna), shops and restaurants are around 1.5 km away and 5 minutes away. can be reached by car (on foot in about 15 minutes)
The view from the terrace of Wasserkuppe and Milseburg invites you to explore the Rhön on foot, by bike or by car:
Nature lovers get their money's worth all year round due to the breathtaking landscape and diverse flora and fauna. Countless hiking and cycling trails offer all possibilities. There are also numerous downhill and cross-country ski runs available in winter.
The popular excursion destinations Wasserkuppe and Milseburg can be reached by car in about 20 minutes.
At 950m, the Wasserkuppe is the highest mountain in Hesse and offers a wide range of leisure activities for the whole family (skiing, gliding and paragliding, summer toboggan run, climbing forest, etc.).
The Milseburg with its breathtaking view is surrounded by impressive hiking trails and can even be reached by bike via the popular Milseburgradweg (entry directly in Hilders). You can also experience an adventurous and free bike ride through the Milseburg tunnel.

A beautiful home on the hill above Hilders. You might want to arrive during the light. It is not hard to find, but make sure you follow Reinhard directions since it is extremely hard to get into the driveway if you approach from the wrong direction.
It is beautiful, quiet, clean and comfortable. There was no wifi and it is 2G cell service, so pocket wifi will not work unless you go several hundred feet down the unpaved road to the north. So if internet connection is essential, be prepared to go someplace for access.
I started with as negative as I can get so you may believe me when I say you will not regret staying here. If you want to watch television on a fairly large flat screen or listen to music, you can (then you won't be able to hear the birds and enjoy the views). The ceramic wood stove provides very comfortable warmth with provided wood and easy to use wood starters.
I like to cook and found the kitchen more than adequate with better cutlery and utensils than most rentals. The coffee maker using pods produced great coffee.
You are located just above the town. A car is a must. You pass a small ski hill, cows and horses on the way. You are in a natural setting, but you are only minutes from places to eat, several super markets, bank, post office and amenities. There are plenty of things to see within reasonable driving distance or you can enjoy this place as the relaxed destination.
Perhaps the best part of my rental experience was meeting Reinhard. He says his English is not very good, but I say he is fluent with no difficulty communicating. He is helpful and friendly. You can tell he loves his property and wants others to enjoy it. I suspect the design flair is from his wife.
He is honest. I was stupid enough to leave forgetting over $300 in a travel pouch that I had fairly well hidden. I asked Reinhard if he could check to see if he could find it. I wasn't sure where I had lost it. He couldn't find it and expressed his regrets. Well over a month later, he found it. He mailed it back to me.
Reinhard will protect your well being. You can rent from him without worry.

Nice house, but very cold in May, hard to get warm, also high humidity. Microwave was missing, was in add but not in house. Our shower upstairs did nog get warm, so had to use downstairs. Was very hard to het towels dry. Als the surroundings were not so nice as we expected, lots was closed, no tourists.
Very nice house, if you can stand the cold.
