Country house full of charm, perfect for a family with children.

1 Dining room and open plan kitchen, with a lovely functional antique fireplace and a large dining table by the fireplace.
1 living room;
1 bathroom with large shower
Separate toilet on the first floor.
Upstairs: a bedroom with 4 single beds followed by a master bedroom with double bed.
Garden table and chairs
Barbecue and parasol.
GRIS POMME is a small warm and charming house. Cozy countryside atmosphere. Located in the pretty estate of the MANOIR DE LA PORTE, a seventeenth century property, with remarkable architecture, classified as a historical monument.
The property is located in the heart of the Pays d'Auge, just away from the tourist hustle and bustle of the Côte Fleurie, only 15 minutes from the beaches of TROUVILLE/DEAUVILLE and the pretty little port of HONFLEUR
😉You will find the Manoir de la Porte (14130) as well as all our contact details on the Monumentum website. fr (French site of historical monuments).
To complete the décor, our animals also decorate the place: the donkey, the horses, the sheep, the ponies, the little border collie and Hide-Hide the cat are wonderful companions, not to mention our chickens for the fresh eggs of the morning breakfast!
All these animals are adorable and very friendly with children!
Our other cottages:
There are 3 other pretty houses, all former outbuildings of the Manor, built of cob and half-timbering, typical Norman architecture have been perfectly restored with respect for their authenticity.
All the buildings make up 4 charming and totally distinct cottages, spread over the park of the manor house with its hundred-year-old trees.
The houses are perfectly independent of each other. No vis-à-vis or promiscuity in the property. Each has its own private natural space with garden with trees and flowers, garden furniture, barbecue... with private outdoor space but free access to all 4 hectares of meadows / forest / park with trees and beautiful flowers.
The preserved and enclosed natural environment allows the little ones to evolve freely and safely.
"LA CHARETTERIE" (5pers)
The old Charetterie recently converted into an atypical and charming cottage.
Ideal for a family with children or 2 couples or a small group of good friends.
The "Cocoon" for 2 to 4 people.
The large house "Rouge Pivoine" for 6 to 13 people.
FOR THE HAPPINESS OF YOUNG AND OLD:
Each house is well separated from the others and has perfect privacy while enjoying the entire property, the meadows, the woods, the park with slide, trampoline and swing and of course the Tennis, for the happiness of young and old!
SOME ADDITIONAL SERVICES
You can ask me for them by phone: 0620617625 at least 72 hours before your arrival.
Payment is made on arrival on site.
- use of wood for the fireplace at discretion (flat rate of 15€ /calendar day)
- Preparation of beds with supply of sheets, towels, tablecloth and kitchen towels. (flat rate €12.50/pers)
- our table d'hôte, direct from the vegetable garden to the plate...
- good lunches or very hearty Brunch (15€ or 28,50€ pers).
- pretty gourmet baskets (for aperitifs, lunch on the grass and snacks .... very very greedy (19,50€/pers.)

Lovely cottage, typically French in an outstanding country Setting. Christine could not have looked after us better with home made jams and fresh eggs for breakfast. Couldn't recommend enough. Thank you Christine!

This house is just two hours drive from Paris in a wonderful countryside. The house is charming with windows on all sides. The house technique (warm water, heating) is good. A fire place complements the country feeling. We were also greeted by two very friendly dogs and two cats. From the windows we could also see some horses and a monkey. The house is located a few kilometers from Pont l'Evèque which has a local market on Mondays, two big supermarkets and other shops and restaurants. It is an ideal base to explore the many lovely villages in the neighborhood as well as the beaches at Honfleur, Deauville and Trouville. Rouen is not far as is Bayeux and its famous tapestry. We also went to Omaha beach and to Etretat with its cliff further north.
The kitchen is small but has everything that is needed. Basic items like salt, pepper, vinegar and oil was there as was dish liquid. We just would advise the owner to provide more than just two dishwasher tabs for a 8 days rental period.
