The Space:
With a private, gated entrance, this stunning homestead provides both seclusion and comfort, making it an ideal retreat for families and groups. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, gathering around the fire pit, or dining outdoors, Rockhouse at Ololo promises an unforgettable stay where history and luxury converge. Easy access to Main St., only 2 miles away (8 min drive)!
- Sleeps 12
- Master bedroom with a king bed & a queen, 2nd bedroom with a queen bed, 3rd bedroom with king bed and 4th bedroom with 2 queen beds
- Master bathroom features a walk-in shower and double sinks. The 2nd bathroom, located downstairs near the dining room, includes a spacious walk-in shower. The 3rd bathroom, situated in the upstairs hallway, offers a walk-in shower and double sinks.
- Full kitchen with a regular coffee maker + kettle, crockpot and blender
- Two spacious living areas: the front living room includes a large smart TV and a roomy 2-piece sectional, while the back living room offers another smart TV, a large sectional, a bar area, and access to the front porch/seating area.
- Washer/Dryer available (BYO laundry detergent and dryer sheets)
- Backyard offers a large in-ground pool and hot tub, complemented by ample seating, 2 dining tables and a wood-burning fire pit (BYO firewood)
- The upstairs balcony features an outdoor bed and a large egg chair, providing a perfect vantage point to overlook the stunning pool, hot tub, and backyard. You can access the upstairs balcony from the master bedroom or outdoor stairs!
- Charcoal BBQ grill available (BYO charcoal)
Note: Please be aware that the indoor fireplace is not operational, and it's not listed under the amenities. It should not be used during your stay. Pool is NOT heated.
BURN BAN EFFECTIVE - Gillespie County Burn Ban is ON, Effective Monday, February 2, 2026: Attached please find a local DECLARATION OF DISASTER & ORDER RESTRICTING OUTDOOR BURNING related to imminent threat of wildfires. Restrictions: NO open fires/burning and NO smoking.
As a result, outdoor wood-burning fire pits are NOT permitted. This mandate is enforced by the city and county and is beyond our control. You are welcome to use Gas fire pits and BBQ grills, if applicable. For charcoal grills, please allow all hot coals to cool completely inside the grill before disposing of them. Please review the property listing to confirm the type of fire pit and grill available, if applicable. If it is discovered that the fire pits/chimineas/outdoor fireplaces were used or wood was burned during your stay, a fine starting at $100 will be applied. This is a serious fire safety issue, and we kindly ask that you comply with all city-mandated regulations. Thank you for your understanding!
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire house, pool, hot tub and firepit. Access to the house is by lockbox, which will have a key to the front door.

Wonderful property, such a great place, wish we could have stayed longer then two nights. Pool and hot tub were great. House, amenities and cleanliness was really good. Being it is summer the air conditioner worked great also. Only issue we had was on Saturday morning we were going to have coffee around the small table on the back porch. One of the guests was moving one of the black wicker chairs to the small table, and it had a wasp nest inside the back of the chair, he was stung four times on his right hand, his hand swelled up and his arm also. The wasp spray can, in the glass case outside, was empty, so we went and bought another can and sprayed about five nests under the back porch.We will stay there again if we can, what a nice property!
