About this cottage rental
Super location within woodland and a SSSI. Teaming with wildlife but just a short stroll from amenities at Glenridding.. 3 steps to entrance.

Kitchen/dining room: Electric Cooker, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Patio Doors Leading To Patio
Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed
Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet
Separate Toilet.
First Floor:
Bedroom 2: Double (4ft 6in) Bed
Bedroom 3: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Fuel for open fire available locally. Patio with garden furniture. Garage with table tennis. Bike store. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking.. Conveniently set among the woodland on the edge of the village of Glenridding, this detached Lakeland cottage stands in an elevated position. The area is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest and a haven for a variety of wild birds and red squirrel; wild deer have even been seen on the patio. Just 1/4 mile from Glenridding village with pubs, shops, cafes, restaurants, access to lake steamers, boat and bike hire. Walking and climbing nearby. Shop and pubs 550 yards.
The track is fairly steep to the property and not suitable for very low-slung vehicles but is quite passable for most cars. However, you can leave your car at the bottom of the track towards Galena and walk up if you prefer, but please do not block the main track which leads to other houses further along. The track is in a « dog leg » shape, cars can also be parked at the « dog leg » turn if preferred to driving right up to the house.
Approach to property is by a rough or gravel track.

A value for money cottage in an excellent location, especially if you like walking.

We return to this cottage time and time again. Our children love the space and how wild it is, and it is really homey and comfy with the most amazing views. The owners are absolutely lovely and you would be hard pushed to find a more beautiful location in the lakes.

Well located on the edge of Glenridding giving easy access to Helvellyn, the surrounding fells and Lake Ullswater. The cottage is up a steep driveway off a private road, with plenty of parking providing a secluded and private position. The cottage was very clean on arrival giving us reassurance during the current COVID situation.

Had a great week, lots of walking. The scenery was breathtaking and the cottage was cosy and warm with everything you need. Would definitely recommend staying at Galena. :-)
