From the moment we drove up to the house and entered this beautiful home, all we could say was Wow. The views were fabulous and the interior so comfortable. We enjoyed the proximity to Langley & Double Bluff Beach as well as Coupeville. The local restaurants in both towns were great but with a full service grocery store in Freeland,the homes “waterfront dining” can’t be beat. What fun to watch the variety of ships going by and exceptional sunsets.

The view, layout of the house, towels and linens, deck chairs and heaters, gas grill and games all exceeded our expectations. The bathrooms and bedrooms were well cleaned. I did not find the master bed to be comfortable, so I slept in a guest bedroom bed. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots & pans and table service. However, it was in need of a deep clean. The coffee maker and oven were filthy. The cupboards had food debris and oil spills (spice drawer) that had not been cleaned in some time. There was a level of grime in the cabinets, and we found several dirty dishes in the cabinets. I don't think the kitchen floor was mopped before our arrival as my white ankle socks were filthy from one evening of walking on the floor. I did request housekeeping to come and take care of the cabinets and the coffee maker. They did come and clean most of the cabinets but the coffee maker top where all the grounds were was missed. We did not use it the whole time we were there and made sure to wash any item in the kitchen before use. The floor was not brought to their attention prior to their arrival. The living room furniture is very well worn. The sofa had several stains - one of which was spot treated while they were there. A couple of the pillows have tears. The dining room rug is heavily soiled and in need of a deep clean. One of the dining room chairs looked like someone had peed on it. The housekeeping staff did clean it. We would not rent again in current condition.
