We absolutely loved our holiday at Fron Erch cottages. The accommodation was perfect for us, and had everything we could’ve asked for. Margaret, the host, was wonderful and so thoughtful. We loved that the lounge is upstairs and, with the window being a good size, meant that you had a wonderful view out to the sea. Lovely. We had problems with our car during our stay, and although we didn’t realise it when we booked, the public transport of bus and train from Abererch were fantastic! Plus the accommodation is only a 20 minute walk from the beach. It’s a great location to explore the Llyn Peninsula and parts of North Wales. We have already recommended this place to family members looking for a getaway! Thanks especially to a wonderful host.

Great little cottage for a 5 person family situated in a small village close to Pwllheli. The owners were very friendly and guided us around the property on arrival. The cottage is well equipped with all sorts of useful things tucked away in drawers and cupboards such as baby equipment, dummies, cleaning supplies, even a few basic toys and more. The cottage has a dedicated WiFi access point in the lounge that provides enough bandwidth to cover the basics and works throughout the house. The location was peaceful and the beds were clean and very comfortable which really helped to get to get a good night's sleep. The location is good for quickly getting to the main roads taking you to the key tourists locations in North West Wales. Overall I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a comfortable well situated cottage in this part of Wales.

We'd stayed for a mid week break with two small kids and the in laws at Easter time. Cottages are in a rural location on a small holding. You wouldn't know it was a small holding - everything from the driveway to the courtyards were very clean, neat and well maintained. Owners were really pleasant and friendly. Plenty of space for kids to run around too (there are some steps). House was really well equipped. Additionally, the owners have put lots of little things you could well forget - like Capol for kids, etc. We thought this was a really nice touch. Decor is a little dated, and the bathroom needs a little spruce up (else the comfort and equipment would have been a 10). Everything was spotlessly clean though. Kitchen was quite well equipped too. There is a beach relatively close by. It's walk-able, but there is a free car park there too. No public toilets or other facilities if you have small kids. Quite a quiet beach. As far as local amenities go - there doesn't seem to be a lot in the village itself, but you are only a short drive from the likes of Criccieth and Pwllheli. We didn't spend that much time in Pwllheli despite it being the closest of the two towns. It has a Weathspoons and kids fun fair (which seemed incredibly cheap compare to Devon / Cornwall prices). The town has a collection of supermarkets, including a small but reasonably well stocked Asda (this was the only supermarket we used). In terms of finding Asda - just head from the property towards Pwllheli. Once you are on the main road just stay on the road until Asda appears in front of you, can't miss it. Criccieth is also well worth a visit. The Cadwaladers cafe on the road up to the castle is a pleasant place to stop for coffee and / or ice cream, especially if you are lucky enough to get a window seat at the rear of the shop - cracking views. We'll hopefully visit the are again at some point in the future. We'll be happy to stay in this cottage again when we do.
