This property was beautiful and I would’ve loved for it to have worked out. Unfortunately, there was an ant and wasp infestation in the house that made it impossible for us to stay. I don’t remember it saying in the listing that the pop was a shared space. So, while I had to work, there were large families with loud children playing in the pool morning till night.
The host was responsive while we were there and when I let her know there was an infestation she had sent a cleaner in immediately. I had a conversation with her and her daughter translated for us. She agreed to refund us for the rest of our stay and now she won’t respond to any of my messages and I have received no refund. I’ve had to escalate the situation with VRBO to try and get the refund that the host agreed to.
The property is really lovely but I wouldn’t book it again with the insect issue and the absence of communication from the host since we left.
