Galveston Bay Retreat

Everything was nice, had a good memorial day weekend

Great

We recently stayed at this gem for a family weekend. It was well appointed and comfortable, with everything we needed in the kitchen, baths, and bedrooms. The pool and game room were the hit of the weekend. The pool was meticulously clean and the game room had just enough shade and fans to be cool on a hot weekend. The open concept kitchen/dining/living room was a perfect spot for everyone to gather. We loved it! Jake and Ashley were responsive to my questions as we got settled into the house. Everything was even better than the pictures on the site.

Overall, the space seemed to be clean. The beds were very stained under the sheets though. The pool was also a let down because it was very dirty and the cleaner was not working. There’s also no diving board as pictured. The space overall was spacious but it had a bunch of rooms that were locked making it kind of creepy. Especially at night because we didn’t know if anyone else was there on the property or in any of the locked rooms. We didn’t have restful nights at the place because it always sounded like people walking around and doors opening/closing. Also, one of the nights, a dog barked almost all night. The neighborhood looked a little sketchy but was fine, just a regular neighborhood. The best thing was the game room and outdoor area. I believe that they are charging mostly for that. It was okay overall but would not return.
