About this house rental

The house is set on a hillside with lovely views over the valley. It is beautifully and comfortably furnished. Large private pool with walk-in steps (unfenced). There are 2 covered outside eating areas, plus other terraces for al fresco dining or sunbathing. It is just a short walk to the village where there is a bar/restaurant, 5 minutes drive to Neuvic for boulangeries and other small shops, as well as Intermarche. Approx 10 minutes drive to the lovely market town of St Astier which holds a weekly market on a Thursday. There are numerous restaurants in the area, and canoeing, horse riding and tennis are all within 15 mins drive.

Wonderful break at this charming house. It was brilliantly stocked with everything needed for a comfortable and stress free stay. The most fantastic pool and grounds - so relaxing, the perfect getaway. Communication and check in process was smooth and straightforward. We loved all the outdoor space, and 3 different areas for eating as the sun and heat of the day went over us.The house is in a small village with fab restaurant/bar which does great burgers and a 10min drive from Neuvic which has excellent boulangeries, a tabac, cafe, bi-weekly small local market and large supermarket. We'll definitely hope to book again for summer 2027!

Le Soutenac is a generous and comfortable place to enjoy rural French life. The description of the house was very accurate and there were no hidden surprises! The kitchen is large and well-equipped, there are many places to sit, eat, drink or relax. The boulangerie was shut for the first half of our stay but Neuvic is an easy cycle away (I guess even Mme Boulanger needs a holiday!)
