About this cottage rental
Cozy cottage on the Maumee River in Waterville, Ohio just a few miles from town. What folks like best about our property is the peace and quiet that comes from the islands that are right out your front door. There is a 12-mile-long wooded hiking and biking trail that abuts our property. Feel free to use our mountain bikes, kayaks, canoes, paddle boats, and even our electric fishing boat! My husband and I purchased the 12 cabins and cottages that are Riverwood 25 years ago so, let us know if you need a larger or even additional places to stay for family get-aways! This was such a fantastic place. Perfect location if you like hiking, kayaking, and fishing. Safe. Friendly hosts. Clean. Well stocked kitchen. The view of the river can’t be beat. Hot tub. Pet friendly. Easy parking. Quiet. Loved it!

This is one of the most beautiful places. It is right on the river and between two state parks, both within easy walking or biking distance. They have bicycles, canoes, kayaks, hot tubs, and fire rings. The cottage was spacious and clean with a picture window facing the river. The hosts were kind and easy to communicate with. I'm looking forward to going back and learning to kayak.

This place has real potential. 1. The home smelled wet and moldy which really bothered my allergies and when we got home my husband was diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia. The window air conditioners probably do not help this. 2. Being ask not to flush urine was a bit strange to me. I understand there’s a holding tank but?! I do not remember seeing this in the description when booking or I wouldn’t have booked it because to us
