Ideal starting point for visiting Portofino, Riviera, Genoa, Cinque Terre

Fantastic apartment, bigger than expected. The pictures don't do it justice. Everything you need and more. Great location for shopping, restaurant and 5 minute walk to the sea. We were worried about being close to the train line but they stop at night and the shutters block out most of the noise so it wasnt a problem for us. Would definitely stay again and recommend!

Yes, this property is on a train line, but apart from that it's perfect in every way. The noise can be a bit loud, but it only lasts a few seconds, and it's really not a problem late at night. The owner is an interior designer, and it really comes through in every detail of the apartment. She was waiting for us when we arrived, and was very communicative via WhatsApp throughout our stay. The apartment is conveniently located. You're in the Rapallo old town in a matter of minutes with its array of excellent restaurants, cafes, and shops. And the train, ferry, and bus lines are easy to navigate to many interesting nearby places: Genoa, the Cinque Terre, Santa Margharita, Portofino, etc. Highly recommended!

We are in a car so finding a place we could park nearby, without cost was important, Miriam was there to meet us when we arrived and helped us unpack and park the car away for the next three days. Rapallo is a bustling, fun city and we walked everywhere. Great restaurants. Easy access to the train which was important for us, since we wanted to go Cinque Terre. This home is a perfect layout and location. Yes, the train is right outside your windows but once the dual glaze windows are closed, they are a faint and comforting background noise. When you look around inside, every thing you could want is here. Coffee pots, kettle, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, washing machine (I even hung some clothes outside to dry on the clothes line). Sleeping at one end of the house, living room and comfortable "kitchen table" at the other end. The elevator although small was great for taking our suitcases (x3 people) up to the 4th floor. Thanks you again for the great stay. If I could give a 6 star review, this would be it!

We really enjoyed our stay in this charming apartment. Don't be alarmed by the facade of the apartment building. The apartment itself is beautifully done and the pictures in the homeaway website didn't do justice to the place! Miriam, you probably want to update the pictures to show how lovely your place is :) We are family of 4 (parents and 2 teenager children) and the apartment is big enough for all of us not to step on each other during our stay. The location of the apartment is great. 5 minutes walk to the charming Rapallo town center and 5 minutes walk to the train station. The alleys leading toward water front are so charming with white umbrellas hanging above you on some alleys while other alleys had big colorful pinwheels hanging above you. Few minutes walk from the apartment is the best fresh pasta store (Pasta La Casana) that we had had in our 3 weeks stay in Italy. We would stop by in the morning to pick up few servings of fresh made pasta and sauce (their tomato sauce is out of this world) and after a day of outing, it only takes 5 minutes to put a delicious dinner on the table. And it is more delicious than most of the restaurants we had eaten. Miriam , the host, went above and beyond in providing the comfort for our stay. Upon arrival, she has a big bag of cookies, coffee, water, ice tea waiting for us. The time we live there, it truly feel like living as local, including hanging our laundry out on balcony. The apartment is next to the train track but it only took few hours for us to get used to the train noise and it doesn't bother us much afterward. The parking can be challenging if you bring a car with you. So be sure to let the host know ahead of the time so they can help with parking spot as they did for us which is greatly appreciated. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
