About this cabin rental
Short drive to the town with quaint eats, coffee, adorable local small town. Out in the woods vibe with amenity access and easy to find location. Fits 4 Adults and 2 children comfortably.
Enter an open layout of living room with flat screen TV & an open Kitchen with a staircase leading up to the 2 inviting bedrooms upstairs. Off the main floor a door leads to the large wooden balcony overlooking the property. The basement is set up for an extra living space with couches that convert into small beds. This Cozy remodeled 1940s cabin made with hand cut logs from the property nestled in the quaint town of Spirit Lake. Lyman's Cabin was lived in by my father growing up and has become the most beautiful retreat for our family. I married my Husband here in October of 2020 and it was the most beautiful day of my life! Larger events can be booked through our main website Lymans cabin. com and NOT through VRBO.
The deck adds almost 400 square feet of relaxation space lovely for morning coffee and pancakes, overlooking the property. Eagles, Moose, deer, marmots, squirrels and other wildlife are not uncommon!
Adorable shops and restaurants line the main street of Spirit Lake where the road leads you strait to the main public boat launch including a public boat dock! Another more neighborly boat launch is just down the street, walking distance from the cabin. With no public dock but a perfect place to walk down with floaty or a paddle board!

“We had such a wonderful time staying at this cabin with both friends and family! The place was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The atmosphere was peaceful and the location was perfect for spending quality time together—whether it was cooking meals, sitting by the fire, or enjoying the outdoors, or going to the newrby theme park SilverWood. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we made so many great memories here. We would definitely love to come back again!”

We (my wife, 2 kids, brother, and a couple other friends) really enjoyed our stay here. The place was as advertised - it was clean, cozy, and had a beautiful deck for the evenings. The location was great, we were there to explore the Silverwood Theme park, which we did all week... and it was only about 10 mins away. If this place had AC I think we'd be giving a 5 star review, as that's about the only thing I can think of that would improve our stay...! The bedrooms were very, very warm at night, and although the basement was nice and cool, the futons/couches were a little small for an adult to sleep on. But, a great time, we were very happy with this place, and would come again!!!

This cabin is in a beautiful location and the wedding venue would be very lovely. The outdoor grotto area is natural and treed.
There were 5 of us and the upstairs bedrooms were comfortable and the main living area functional.
The kitchen was well stocked, but just 2 small dorm style refrigerators.
The deck off the kitchen is relaxing and well furnished.
The “man cave “was where my 3 teen grandchildren slept. They were hesitant as it was very rustic and musty. Not too inviting but we did okay.
That was the only disappointment in the property and perhaps I misread the description.

The host was very nice and very responsive. At the time of our stay, it was advertised with a fire pit and a grill. When we reached out to the host about where to get firewood we were told that fires were not allowed (this was remedied). We asked about propane since the grill tank was emptied and we were told where we could go get it filled (which seemed inappropriate) and later advised that neither of the grills were in working order (she offered to reimburse for our food that was for grilling or to bring a new grill the next day of our two night stay). These two minor issues aside (as noted she was very responsive and kind), it was the dead bugs for me. The basement floor had dead bugs all over it. No big deal right? It’s the a cabin in the woods. Fair enough. But when I opened my bed to go to sleep after a long day, and found a dead bug in the sheets, and dead long enough that its legs had fallen off, it gave worry of when the sheets might have last been changed or washed. Also, there are only two very small hotel size fridge’s, plus a wine fridge. The wine fridge smelled so bad it was not usable. I suspect this is an issue with the cleaning service and not the host themselves. But it is a beautiful location!
