Welcome to Echo, your perfect island retreat on breathtaking St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. With an incredible sunset view that stretches across the ocean to St. Thomas, this inviting one-bedroom, family-friendly condo comfortably accommodates up to six guests and provides everything you need for a relaxing and unforgettable stay.
Echo is conveniently located on the ground floor of the upper building, just steps away from parking. With just two steps up, the condo is accessible for families with children and those with limited mobility. Echo is fully air conditioned and includes additional ceiling fans to keep you cool and comfortable throughout your stay.
Echo’s kitchen is fully equipped and includes a fridge, gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster oven, toaster, electric kettle, and waffle maker. Enjoy meals at the dining table for four, or at the cozy breakfast bar for two. The large pantry cabinet includes a safe for valuables, and the water is UV-filtered water.
Relax in the comfortable living area featuring a sofa, chair, and 50” flat screen smart TV with Netflix access. Draw the curtains in the evening and you have an additional sleeping space, complete with a queen sofa bed and twin-over-twin bunk bed. Board games, local guide books, a bluetooth speaker and binoculars are provided for your use while staying at Echo.
For those working remotely, the console table in the hall doubles as a desk, and Echo offers reliable high speed WiFi to keep you connected.
The primary bedroom has a king size bed, two night tables, tall dresser, spacious closet, and air conditioning - your own private oasis to unwind after a day spent hiking or at the beach.
Indulge in the newly renovated bathroom that includes a walk-in shower with rainfall showerhead. The vanity provides storage space and includes a hairdryer, curling iron, and handheld clothes steamer. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and towels are also provided.
The 300 square foot covered veranda overlooks the pool and offers stunning sunset views. The space includes a dining table with cushioned chairs for six, a comfortable conversation set for four, and a cushioned lounge chair, perfect for relaxing with a book. Beach gear, including four chairs, an umbrella, and three coolers with ice packs, is also available for your adventures.
Serendip is a private ten unit condominium situated on lush, tropical two acre property. Shared amenities include a refreshing plunge pool, deck with seating, gas BBQ, washer/dryer, and a backup solar & battery power system. Our onsite manager is there to ensure you have a wonderful stay at Serendip!

We were extremely happy with our stay at this condo. The unit was clean, comfortable and exactly as described. The space was well maintained, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was also perfect, close to everything but still quiet and peaceful. Communication with Matt was easy and he was very responsive. We will definitely stay here next year!

Serendip is near enough to "town" that it's only a few minutes to get to anywhere you want to go in Cruz Bay, yet far enough away that it is out of the noise and traffic. The view over the pool, with the lush landscaping, and Pillsbury Sound in the distance, is so pretty. Hummingbirds visited the blooms on the flamboyant trees.
Our condo, Echo, was so easy to get in and out of with only a couple of steps from the upper parking area. For those of us who have mobility issues - or even just painful joints - it's a great plus!
Matt was on vacation but Gus was so helpful! We got the best snorkeling recommendation and saw more starfish than we ever thought possible in one area - amazing.

After decades of trips to STJ, our family has enjoyed staying at Serendip in recent years. We have stayed at Echo twice and have loved the open space, the use of the pool, and the laundry. The kids love seeing the cats roaming around and look forward to hunting for lizards. Highly recommend Serendip since it is close to the center of town, parking is easy, and if you need to use Landlubbers to set up your fridge, it is one less thing to do when you arrive. They work together as well. We will be back!

First, the process of renting could not have been easier. You’re going to hear a lot about Matt in this review because his communication, organization, and pleasant follow up made this week great!
Renting…emails answered almost immediately, clear and concise, with follow up of advice for opportunities on the island.
Matt secured a keyless entry which made the arrival process seamless.
Echo was spotless, stocked with supplies, beach chairs, coolers, etc all available, and a very nice treat in the fridge….several selections of St. John’s Brewers product, alcohol and non-alcohol, and 4 very cold cloths to beat the heat.
Matt communicated regularly and on occasion when we needed something, it was delivered or answered immediately!
Check out, again, seamless with Matt communicating instructions and ease of going home.
This was our third visit in three years, and frankly was our best, mainly due to Matt.
We love Serendip, due to cleanliness, available supplies for the week, great pool, washer and dryer, privacy, parking and close to everything!
Thank you Matt! We will see you soon for our fourth year in a row.
