SECURITY DEPOSIT
The security deposit is not only to cover breakages.
To avoid problems with the return of the deposit, you should consider:

- In the case of visits during the day, never exceed 50% of employment.
- For an issue of hygiene, it is compulsory the use of sheets. If you decide to bring a sleeping bag, you must also bring, bottom sheet and pillow case. We loved this apartment! The location was perfect for us (just two streets away from the Rambla but on a very quiet street) and the property was exceptionally clean. To keep expectations realistic, the building is almost 120 years old with some original features. We thought it was charming and lovely and only added to our experience.
It had all the conveniences: washing machine, dishwasher, fully outfitted kitchen, smart tv, wall unit a/c, and a ton of sleeping areas.
Our host, Maite, was incredible. She met us at the apartment to let us in and go over all the details. She also helped us with securing a car service when we had to go outside of Barcelona for a wedding. Maite was kind, personable, knowledgeable about the apartment and neighborhood, and very helpful.
A few things I would tell the next visitor: there is a taxi stand just one street away (between the apartment and Rambla), which is great for getting around town! The Rambla has wonderful dining options for every taste. Just walk to the beach if you can. It is so much easier than using a car/taxi. We did two trips with Cabify and both times they tried to go to the hotel across the street - just be clear that you are not at the hotel. Whatever you do, do NOT miss the French pastry shop a couple of doors down from the apartment entrance! It is superb.

First, very excellent communication with the host and for arranging check-in. We were exhausted from transatlantic travel and no sleep, and Maite was very helpful in making sure we could get settled in. We chose the apartment due to it's location in PobleNou, still in the city but a little tucked away from more crowded areas like the Rambla and Gracia neighborhood. It was perfect for the proximity to the Rambla PobleNou and Platja Bogatell.
The apartment itself has plenty of places to sleep. We were traveling as a family so having separate rooms to spread out was great. We didn't really use the kitchen much because We were always out and about in the city. The weather was great temperature-wise for our stay but if not there were space heaters or air conditioners available. Someone renting would want to know that the bathroom is a bit tighter just in terms of the placement of toilet in front of shower.
Because of excellent host communication, we felt very comfortable from the beginning and staying in an apartment made it very comfortable to show our kids some of the best of Barcelona.

We had a group of 6 and we were all quite comfortable. Apartment had everything we needed. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. We made breakfast every morning.
Location is unbeatable, near to the beach and the restaurants of the Rambla of Poblenou, but away from the bustle of central Barcelona. Would stay there again. One bathroom and several flights of stairs (there is a small elevator) may be a problem for some groups, but fine for us.
