Le Case di Bacco is the ideal place to discover the wonders of the coast, the blue sea between Taormina and Acitrezza, and, of course, to visit the magnificent Mount Etna, Europe’s largest active volcano.

The property, situated on a peaceful plateau, overlooks countryside that stretches all the way to the sea.
The farmhouse comprises several completely independent units with ample green spaces available, equipped with chairs and tables on the lawn, all surrounded by lemon, orange, and olive trees as well as vineyards—offering complete relaxation and absolute privacy. Free Wi-Fi.
“Le Case di Bacco” could perhaps have been called the homes of “Don Alfredo and Donna Maria,” a husband and wife who purchased this plot of land—complete with an old wine press—where they planted a vineyard and later a lemon grove.
Today, the property continues to be maintained in keeping with the traditions of this region—such as the grape harvest, olive harvest, and lemon harvest—offering guests the opportunity to purchase local products like olive oil, wine, and jams.
Its geographical location makes it an ideal destination for those seeking a vacation with the right balance of activities and relaxation—an ideal setting, perfect for visiting romantic Taormina and the bay of Giardini Naxos, for interesting hikes along the trails and through the woods of Etna National Park, as well as visits to the many lava caves; we offer jeep tours for breathtaking excursions, including visits to the craters.
Just a few kilometers from Acireale and Catania, where you can admire magnificent Baroque architecture, enjoy granita, gelato, and traditional Sicilian pastries (cannoli with ricotta, cassata, mustaciuoli…), as well as delicious seafood dishes paired with excellent wines in nearby Acitrezza, famous for its “cyclopes”—where legend has it that Polyphemus hurled the “cyclopes” (rocks) at Odysseus in Acitrezza, Capomulini, and other locations.
Nearby, you can visit the Alcantara River Gorges, the Saracen-Norman castle of Acicastello, and the recently restored castle of Calatabiano, accessible via a panoramic elevator.

We stayed in the ground floor apartment, in a beautiful and well-kept garden. The hostess, her son and her husband gave us a warm welcome and were a great help to us. The place itself and the pool are very clean and nice, and we had a wonderful and peaceful holiday there. There are lots of interesting places to go to in the surrounding area. The neighbourhood was not so clean (garbage along the streets), but that was the case almost everywhere in Sicily.

We have just spent a very enjoyable week at Case di Bacco in it's unique location. Our 2 bedroom appartment was ideal and well equipped for our family of 4 with wifi (much appreciated by our teenagers) and air con (very welcome coming in from 33 degree heat some days). The gardens surrounding the appartment are beautiful and you get a great view of Etna whilst relaxing by the pool. Gabriella, Alfio and Ricardo were very attentive and friendly hosts and happy to advise on places to see and eat. One of the most enjoyable and memorable days of our week was the excursion up to Etna which Alfio took us on in his jeep. Alfio and his son Ricardo were able to give us a tour of north Etna and introduced us to some of the excellent food specialities of the region. Zafferano Etnea is a very lively local town which had entertaining music and dancing going on around the main square in the week we were there. We also enjoyed and were very impressed by the sites and culture at Catania, Taormina and Syracuse. You definitely need a car to explore this area as the property is quite remote.
For those that enjoy relaxing with great views, eating good food, drinking good local wine and exploring sites of architectural/archaelogical significance, this is a great holiday!
