About this house rental
Escape to the beach! Enjoy this newly remodeled townhome in the exclusive Monterey Dunes Colony. Half-way between Santa Cruz and Monterey (Pacific Grove, Carmel, Pebble Beach), an excellent home base for many activities on the California coast. Enjoy the quaint town of Moss Landing, just five minutes from the house. Our home is easily accessible from Highway 1. It's also within 10 minutes of major retailers like Target and Costco yet it feels light years away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Our internet is ideal for work/school/streaming. Amenities include heated pool (April-October), year-round hot tub, beach volleyball, tennis, basketball, pickleball and bocci ball courts. Our home has two oceanside decks plus a courtyard patio with a grill. Enjoy the wood burning fireplace while watching for whales in the winter. Rejuvenate yourself with long lazy beach days in the summer. Make use of the washer/dryer, Roku, stove, dishwasher and fridge. The kitchen is stocked with spices, oils, coffee and the like. Enjoy the many games and puzzles while watching the waves. Our home is a split-level floor plan so be prepared for several steps between each level. We have a Ring video doorbell. Finally, no pets per HOA rules.

Enjoyed ocean view and sound of crashing waves all night long, especially upstairs. Quiet private neighborhood safe for children to walk next door to cousins or down to pickle and volleyball. Updated decor, very clean bathrooms, and well stocked kitchen with upgraded appliances. WIFI great. Closets stuffed with entertainment (BBQ, videos, games, sports and beach gear including towels). Front and back patios for relaxing and eating. Highly recommended for our weeklong family reunion (renting 4 houses for 28 people), but more personal than a 5 star resort. Worth the price. Host is very cordial and responds quickly. Not recommended if you can't climb stairs. Although there are two bedrooms on the ground floor, you must climb about 12 steps to the living room.

This property was perfect for our family of 5. Great views and access to the beach, well equipped with what we needed for our vacation, nice and quiet, yet a quick drive for day trips to Monterey Aquarium, and hiking and biking spots.
