About this cottage rental

Escape with the whole family to this peaceful, newly remodeled 2-bedroom cottage, perfectly located near Cook Forest State Park, Allegheny National Forest, and Tuck`d Inn Farm Venue. The cottage sleeps up to 6 guests and offers a relaxing retreat surrounded by nature.

Just minutes away from Cook Forest and Allegheny National Forest, the cabin features a spacious back deck for outdoor lounging and a fire pit area in the backyard for cozy evenings under the stars.

Guests have full access to the property, with the exception of the utility room, and I am available through Airbnb or by cell phone should you need anything during your stay.

The cabin is conveniently located near popular local restaurants, including Trails End, Forest Nook, and The Sawmill Restaurant. To explore the area, guests are encouraged to use personal vehicles, though there are also designated trails nearby for biking, ATV riding, and snowmobiling.
Please take shoes off while inside the cabin. When grilling, please move grill away from building.

Need a dishwasher since guests are expected to wash dishes. It's not sanitary and we have to rely on someone else actually hand washing the dishes prior to us. You never know if the people that stayed before you just rinsed them off and called it a day. At least have a drying rack and drying towels if we are expected to do the dishes. Also the rules posted on the refrigerator contradicted instructions that were communicated through email/text. But overall 4/5. Amanda was very nice and the property was clean.

The property was as pictured and was in a good location to enjoy the beautiful park. The fire pit in the back yard was a great place to enjoy the outdoors. House was clean but lacking a few things to make the stay comfortable. No dressers in the bedrooms so any personal items had to be left on the floor. Seating in the main area was not comfortable. The host contacted me twice in advance to offer 2 hour early check in for an additional $25. I thought that was in poor taste, as I have stayed at many VRBOs and if we were able to check in early the host never charged extra. For me, that just put a negative vibe right from the start.

The home was very comfortable and the decor was great. Communication with the host, Amanda was very easy and she answered right back. I wasn’t crazy about the surveillance cameras but I understand protecting your property and security. Overall it was very relaxing, which is what I was looking for

We LOVED our cozy, comfy cabin! Close to Cook Forest. Beautiful firepit! Just what we hoped for! If you go, take dish towels & your favorite cookware from home (there were pans there but not the best - I’m a picky cook.). Also toilet tissue - We were allotted one roll for our stay. More coffee mugs would be needed for more than 2 guests. And a few wine glasses would be nice as well. The beds were so comfy!!! The cabin was clean & smelled so fresh & welcoming!! Lots of fresh bath towels. A broom on the back porch would be nice - I would’ve swept the porch. But understamd, you are in a cabin in a wooded area so dust is to be expected. The storm door glass needs a good cleaning as it had lots of handprints & smudges so if the inside door was open & the sun shining through the glass, it wasn’t a good look. All in all I give 5 ⭐️ Thank you Amanda! We loved it here & I didn’t want to leave!! 😊

We had a great week at this cabin. It was my husband and I (and our college-age son joined us for a few days). It was clean and had all the conveniences that we wanted. The location was perfect, being just minutes and a beautiful drive to Cooks Forest. We even spent some time exploring the Allegheny Forest. Amanda was easy to contact and had thought of everything we needed for our stay. It was a very comfortable, relaxing, quiet place to stay. We would love to visit again.

Maple Creek Cabin is a comfortable and clean home. We did not cook there but kitchen had basic items to use if cooking . There is no table to sit at if eating there. There is a more of a short bar type area with seats. Coffee pot and Keurig coffee machine for coffee drinkers. Look up above the stove for the wifi password. I did not see it right away. The location was very quiet with houses on both sides. It was a comfortable home to stay in and would recommend it for a getaway in this beautiful area.

We enjoyed our visit here. We felt safe, the cabin was relatively clean. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was nice, but I would not call it a well-stocked kitchen. I would advise future renters to come prepared. We love Cook Forest and the short drive to visit was perfect. There were neighbors, but they didn’t disturb us and it was a nice area.

My sister and I spent three days here. The place is clean and uncluttered. If you plan to cook, you may want to bring a cast iron skillet and your own staples. The place description says air conditioning but it is a small window AC in one of the bedrooms. There are ceiling fans in kitchen and living room but not the bedrooms. You may want to bring a fan for each bedroom you plan to use. There are occupied houses/cabins on both sides and across the road but the neighbors were quiet. The Forest Nook restaurant, a short drive down the road, is handy and the food is good. Check out their little gift shop. We were able to easily get to hiking trails in Cook and Clear Creek and Allegheny forest. Our host, Amanda, was a good communicator and easy to reach by phone/text.I would stay here again.

Really close to both Cook Forest and Allegheny National Forest. The house has been nicely updated and was a nice stay. Both pods and regular coffee were available, and everything works well. Checking in and out we're easy.

Great little cottage at the edge of the woods. Easy drive into Cooks Forest for outdoor adventure. There were several local restaurants that looked great. Unfortunately they didn't have gluten free food options so we had drive a bit further to eat out. Having the kitchen was great because we were able to cook food for ourselves after a trip to Walmart. Kitchen had enough basic stuff for general cooking and was great. Very clean. We enjoyed our stay
