Oceanfront House on the beach at Croatan

The location can’t be beat. House is unique and wonderful. We really enjoyed it.

It’s a great location, and right on the beach. Close to everything, and the neighborhood is beautiful. I loved the fully fenced yard for my dogs. I also loved that everyone got their own bedrooms. Property is dated and not very well maintained, or what I would call comfortable, or accommodating, but we spent most of my time at the beach anyway, so it worked out fine. Overall a good stay.

We had plenty of space for our family, and Lori was quick to respond when the internet went out. (It came back.) The house is on the market so I assume some updates to the kitchen cabinets may be coming soon, but everything worked fine. Great view and beach access. Very relaxing, and my husband especially appreciated the elevator.

We paid for a Vrbo with 5 bedrooms- this location had listed five. But one of the bedrooms had a huge area on the ceiling that was covered with cardboard type material and duck tape ( I assume there had been a large ceiling leak?). Seems like this room should have been closed off (and not part of the 5 bedroom rental -and that we should not have been charged for 5 bedrooms unless the ceilings was correctly repaired. The shower head in the king size bedroom was leaking. Most windows did not appear operable. There should have been a sign “not to open windows”. View and beach were lovely
