The Tranquillity, quiet and the authenticity are our business card

First thing to say is you'll probably need a car as it's about a 40 minute walk to Castelbuono - and coming back is quite steep walking. The upside of that is you are in a very tranquil location. It's idlyllic. Hardly a sound apart from birdsong and the occasional gentle charming clang of a cowbell as (presumably) some nearby cows were being led out to pasture I booked this place because its advert focused on tranquility - and it really lived up to that. It has a fabulous pool and the views from the pool terrace (which is an upper level) are sensational, looking out across a gorgeous valley. Vincenzo is super friendly and (I think) lives in an adjacent property. Some people have reported having to share the pool. Not sure if that happens - all I can say is when we were there the pool was entirely ours. If you don't mind having to drive into town (Castelbuono is a lovely little town) and want peace and quiet, this definitely ticks the boxes ps: It could do with a few extra cutlery pieces though :-)

We spend a week in house Frassino with 2 children (4 and 6 years old) and we absolutely loved it. Although the house is not very big, it has all the required necessities. The rooms and 2 bathrooms were bright and cleaned. There is an outside terrace with table, chairs and sofa chairs. The swimming pool is reached by a stair. It was big and very clean. The view from up here was magnificent. Castelbuono and its medieval town is not far from Palermo and many touristic places. The host is very friendly and helpfull. He even gave us some delicious tomatoes from his own garden. I would definitely return.

We stayed here for three nights, but we wished we could have stayed longer. Overall, this place is one of my favourites on Sicily. Located near Castelbuono and the beautiful surroundings of le Madonie, this place is perfect for those who want to enjoy the real Sicily. Nature, culture, sports, gastronomy, etc.. Plenty of things to do and see. (Do make sure you have your own car!) The apartment was perfect for us: everything was clean, the owner made sure everything was impecable. You have your own terrace here, so you surely have your privacy. Upstairs is a swimming pool which you share with a few other guests. Air conditioning is possible, but if you want to use it you have to pay an extra fee. Although we stayed here in the midst of July, we didn't need it: at night it was cool enough to sleep well. Overall, we really liked staying here and we would definitely recommend this place to our friends and all other travelers who like to stay in a green and quiet little paradise rather than in a touristy city.
