About this cabin rental
We are situated in Lakeside Estates which is a gated community with its own boat launch, swimming pool and basketball court.
Our unique set up has 3 cabins next to each other for family or friends to be together. Pirates Cove (VRBO #681261) Treasure Cove (VRBO search #1010047) and Captains Cove (VRBO search 582327) are next to each other with driveway access above and walkway access below. There is an arial picture showing the cabins and how they are next to each other. Pirates and Treasure are on the same driveway and Captains is a separate driveway. But all three cabins have access with a walkway below. Each cabin has similar layouts and amenities.
There are 9 spacious bedrooms with attached bathrooms. Walk out the patio door to the waterfront, enjoy the double deck dock with slide and a view of the cove of Norris Lake. The cove is quiet, there are no waves from lake traffic, great swimming for all ages.
The top floor has a large open kitchen equipped with 2 refrigerators with water and ice in door, 2 dishwashers, gas range, large double door pantry, large bar that seats 8, granite counter tops, dining room and living room. Kitchen is well equipped with dinnerware, pots N pans, and too many small appliances to mention. The living room has an awesome view of the cove with a half bath for everyone to use. There are 2 bedrooms, each with a king bed and private attached bathroom.
The middle floor has a centralized washer/dryer and living area. The four bedrooms on this floor have attached bathrooms. All four bedrooms have one queen bed and day bed with trundle (each with their own bathroom). Patio on this floor has a relaxing view of the cove and mountains all around.
The bottom level has 3 bedrooms, with attached bathrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed with a child bed, one bedroom has 2 bunk beds (full on bottom and twin on top), and the third has a bunk bed (full on bottom twin on top) with a twin trundle bed . There is a half bath on this level for everyone to use. This floor has easy access to the lake. There are 2 arcade games with a gathering area to entertain for all ages. The bar has a sink, dishwasher, refrigerator and bar stools.
Pirates Cove has plenty of parking located in Lakeside Estates. Easy access, 20 minutes off I-75.
Please note from October to April we have seasonal water and the dock will be removed. Don't worry The fun never stops at Pirates!

Let’s start with the positive… Check in was super easy! Directions were great. The lake is beautiful and we had so much fun on the double dock. The kids loved the water slide and jumping off the top. We paid extra for the water package and used the kayaks, the huge pad, and paddle boards every day. There was plenty of space for our large group of 19. We especially appreciated that every bedroom had its own bathroom! Two dishwashers and two refrigerators were so helpful!Now to the not so good…We stayed here years ago and loved it. Since then, the furnishings have really gone downhill. One of the couches was so lumpy it was hard to sit on! Most of the beds were not very comfortable. The knives in the kitchen were super dull, the non stick and some of the cookware wasn’t very clean. When we walked in it seemed clean. But it could use a deep clean. Maybe it was because we were there in August and it had been cleaned well at the beginning of the season, but there were spider webs and dirty cupboards. There were several steps leading down to the water that were rotted and one of the boards in the upper dock as well. The host was very responsive when I texted about that and had someone fix them quickly, which I appreciated. She said they were going to do a major repair at the end of the season, but my son in law stepped on two different boards that broke under his feet! All in all, we enjoyed our stay, but for the amount of money for one week, I guess we expected a little more.
