About this villa rental

Set on the rising coastline, overlooking the sea, where you can see, on clear days, right across to the mainland and watch ferries, sailing boats and pleasure yachts plying their way to and fro. Villa Sakos is beautifully finished and designed to be ideal for families or groups of up to three couples, each double bedded bedroom has either a bathroom or shower room en-suite. There is a sofa bed in the larger bedroom for those who require a room with two beds - maybe for teenagers or children.

Location

In a quiet area just out of town, it’s 1.2 kms along the coast from the laid back resort of Skala and a pleasant evening stroll can be followed by a returning short taxi ride back.

If you’d rather not move even that far from the Villa (perfectly understandable), then within a 5 minute walk there is a lovely little undiscovered pebbly cove with beautiful clear water.

There is also a choice between two excellent tavernas just a short walk away.

The villa was lovely and clean , plenty of utensils. Pool was excellent very clean the view is panoramic.. lovely space for the family etc It would have been nice if the down stairs bathroom was en suite . We had load music come from the right of villa Sakos my only thought here is for people to be considerate and perhaps volume could have been lower , even the sailing boats which anchored in the bay move on . I know it’s difficult to please everybody.

We absolutely loved this villa and town and will definitely consider coming again! - Great comms before we arrived and super support/service from Denise whilst we were there. - Position / proximity to town and beautiful cove beach and main Skala beach - Lovely pool, terrace and sun loungers - Big, well kept garden - Easy to park Only very minor points! A few more electrical sockets in the kitchen would be useful. Some softer lighting in the living room would make it feel more homely - it’s very bright at the moment!

The villa was exactly as described. The bedrooms were a great size with great storage space and comfortable beds. The balconies off the rooms were lovely and gave stunning views across the ocean. All the bathrooms were clean and they were stocked with toilet roll and hand soap. There were also plenty of towels and pool towels. The kitchen was well fitted and ample with washing up liquid, washing pods and a very appreciated hamper of juice, water, crisps, biscuits, couple of cans of lager and a bottle of wine! There were limited TV channels and one sofa in the living area but we were never indoors, because even at 10-11pm it was still warm outside. The air con was a welcome necessity too. The outside area was beautiful. The pool was bigger than normal, cold but that was needed as it was hot and humid. The sun loungers were the most comfiest we have ever used as the had padded seating over the top and there were inflatables and a ball outside too. There was plenty of outdoor seating that was in a shaded area and the big umbrellas by the sun loungers were great. The views were stunning across the ocean and the villa was in a quiet area, not overlooked and although there were neighbours, there was no noise or distractions from them. Overall the villa is well looked after, the bedding and towels changed in the middle of the holiday (which is unusual) and Denise the owner was lovely and very helpful. When I explained that one of the shower heads was leaking she simply went and got me a new one. She was very helpful with the information she gave and checked in often to see if we were ok. The area is lovely and the locals were very friendly. As someone with mobility problems, the walk to the village did take me 30 minutes, but probably would take 20-25 for others. It is mostly downhill or flat with a slight hill to get into the village. We definitely needed a taxi back (at about 7, 8 euros) but that was for my benefit as opposed to all of us (taxis could be difficult to get as there aren't many.) There are plenty of restaurants towards the village so you did not need to walk far to the nearest one, which was less than a 5 minute walk. The food in all the places we went to was amazing and a lot of variety. It was all reasonably priced too especially the drinks. There was a supermarket about 15 minute walk away which stocked everything you needed. The beaches were lovely with lots of beds, umbrellas etc that usually belonged to a hotel or restaurant.

3rd time we have come to the Villa and loved it just as much as previous times. Denise is always very helpful.
