Sit back and enjoy listening to the relaxing sounds of the ocean, watching local fishermen as they haul their lobster traps, and enjoy the spectacular horizon sunrise and sunsets. Across the reach, you can visit Beals Island the homeland of National Folklore legend Tall Barney Beal. Stop by Beals Heritage Center to learn just how tall and strong he was. Also the Nature's Conservancy has a 5 mile hike located through the woods, at the end of Great Wass Island. Travel an hour east where you can visit West Quoddy Head Lighthouse in Lubec America. Watch the lobstermen boating to work each morning while sipping coffee from your deck. Day trips to Acadia Nat’l Park, Bar Harbor, Lubec (the most eastern point in the US), and FDR’s Campabello Island are just a short drive away. Bring a furry friend as the cottage is also a dogs’ paradise.

Fantastic location, right on the beach, very quiet. The house configuration was good. One bedroom and bath on first floor and two bedrooms and a shared bathroom on the second floor. Loved watching the lobster boats coming and going out to sea.

Fantastic stay. Beautiful location. Just as pictures show on vrbo. Suggest bringing some outdoor games. Saw a few wild rabbits and deer. 4Corners Shop N Save isn't too far and is super stocked with anything you need. Pizza place down the road was good but it's really busy so would call ahead. Rainy day road trip to Monica's Chocolates in Lubec is a must! Go to the lighthouse too, even if it's rainy it's still nice to see.

The property was absolutely gorgeous. We had a party of 6 and there was more than enough space. The ocean view and walks along the beach were so relaxing. My two children loved exploring the beach. The place was so clean. My husband and kids are very allergic to animal dander and the owners reached out and took extra time cleaning the house which was so thoughtful and appreciated; they had no issue at all! The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans. They had board games for rainy days and the internet worked well. The owners were so kind and communication was timely; they even reached out to let us know about a pop up bakery that was in town while we were visiting! None of us were ready to leave at the end of our trip. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

We just got back from a fabulous week at this rental. The house was just what we were looking for. It was exactly as advertised; beautifully situated on the water, clean and comfortable. They had stocked more than I have seen a previous rentals. Plenty of towels, blankets, and kitchen supplies. Even though it was a little chilly for our weeks stay we still thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the deck reading and watching the lobster boats go by. Also managed to complete a couple of their puzzles. I would stay here again in a minute.
